ah fair, maybe it was Stewart that got 4 and a half years?

It was back when the new signings use to stay at my work, used to sit and chat on quiet restaurant nights sometimes. I'm sure one of them got a long long deal, i know for sure at the time that McLean said he was happy to have "moved on from Peterborough to a bigger club" and wouldn't go back. Bet he would reconsider now!

These all run out in 2014...

James Chester
Joe Dudgeon
Corry Evans
Matty Fryatt
Jack Hobbs
Aaron Mclean
Cameron Stewart
Eldin Jakupovic
Robert Koren(+ potential 1 year extension)

I think the only players who's contracts run beyond the end of next season are the new signings like Proschwitz and Quinn(with Meyler likely to be added later today and Chester's is likely to be extended shortly too).

Fair enough, **** memory then. Strange that there's a number on there who we'd all want renewing straight away, but if we get in the prem it'll be interesting to see how many actually get kept on should we stay up again.

It seems to have gone quiet on the negotiation regarding Chester, is that ominous?

Most likely that it's not being considered a priority as we're confident of getting it done, so with it being January Bruce is focusing on other contract negotiations with players that aren't ours already!

We should have a clean bill of health after this season then as all of the above were brought in under AP or the Allams so shouldn't be on stupid money.

The majority of those could well be renewed but it will entirely depend on what league we will be playing in!

Aaron McClean deserves better than that! In a world where footballers get paid sickening amounts of money for doing precious little only to turn round and moan about their lot (Rio Ferdinand take note), Aaron McLean buck the trend.

what ever faults he has, hard work certainly is not one of them, a few more talented individuals could take a few lessons from Aaron

Not at all John. No rush to get it done before the summer. The focus is on getting promotion Not new contracts. All this can be done in the summer when there is a lull. From whats been said Chester is almost done and dusted.

IMO, most of the current squad are good enough for the PL. So get em all signed up as they deserve a PL chance.

Well the last I heard was that they were already negotiating, and that they were waiting for his mother and father to come back from holiday so he could discuss it with them. Since then it has gone quite, as the indication were that he would fix a new deal now not wait until the summer.

Last time we had this is was Dawson and we were assured every month or so that everything was going as planned and it would still be signed bla bla but it never happened and eventually Barmby was sacked and we had no manager. He was messed abut for ages and it was only when Bruce came in that he insisted Dawson's new deal was completed immediately. Chester was told he'd get a new deal almost a year ago now. He's still on peanuts and he's one of our best players. Get it done asap before someone offers him what he's worth.

Ipswich have now made their move for #hcafc striker Aaron Mclean. Loan deal could be imminent.

Sounds like #hcafc reluctant to off-load Mclean to a play-off rival like Millwall

I'd have bloody off loaded him to Millwall; what are the chances he's going to score 15+ goals from now until the end of the season? Virtually none.

I'd rather McLean go 2 Ipswich. Has DJ Campbell gone back to QPR now then?
