If Kenny Jackett weaves his magic on loan he might turn him into another chris wood and earn you millions we do it for every other bloody club why not you!!<wah>
Mind you with him and ****tu in the side I wouldn't want to meet them on a night out<yikes>

Don't listen to them Roar .... I reckon KJ will work wonders with Aaron

& he is a lovely bloke

How are you and Charlize getting on? You do her yet? Way I hear it you're on a promise. Back on Topic, I expect Mclean to virtually guarantee promotion for Milwall. Breaks my heart to lose him, but we musn't stand in the way of his achieving greatness.

Please, let him move on. I have nothing against him at all, but to have a striker in the squad for his work ethic is suicidal and probably the reason as to why we've struggled for goals the last couple of Seasons. He just hasn't shown the promise which he had at Posh and it's a shame really. Top guy but an utter ****e goal return unfortunately. Hopefully he can give his career a restart at 'Wall.

Why would he tell Burnsy that Milwall are interested? Something seems fishy there, trying to make it clear that he's available to tempt someone into a permanent offer or a better loan deal for us? Maybe he is reluctant to send him to a team who could potentially be a promotion rival?

Well milwall is talking about it to.

Manager Kenny Jackett told NewsAtDen: "We've made enquiries about a number of players and McLean is one of them. The ball is in Hull's court at the moment and we haven't heard anything yet.
"We have asked about him and it's down to his club to make the next move. He is an experienced forward and he knows the division, but he's not our only target.
"There are several players we have been lining up."

So we've yet to respond to their initial enquiry? Sounds plausible that we're trying to get a few others interested, either because we'd rather send him somewhere a bit lower down the league or get a better fee/wage contribution from someone.

Top bloke and given a decent chance, I think you'll see him score a **** load. Always gives 100% too when he's on the pitch.

It's not worked out for him here but he will score goals again at some point, probably not here unfortunately. He's scored some goals for us which have been better than anything our better strikers are capable of (I always reference Forest away last season for a lesson in proper strikers' finishing) but he hasn't done it often enough basically. I think his City career was basically doomed after his first 6 months with us, he did alright but people got fed up of waiting for him to score and his misses against Leeds and Doncaster in particular earned him the tag of team donkey and he's never shaken it off. Proschwitz is in a similar position now having not made an impact in 6 months, hopefully he'll turn it around like McLean never managed to.

As i posted last night, it may be pure coincidence that 2 of the strikers mentioned, Campbell & Graham both wear number 9, so we shift ours out to leave that shirt open for one of them to fill.

There is absolutely no chance whatsoever that our transfer policy is being affected in any way by squad numbers.

He's only just done the interview.

Stewart will return and go out on loan again, there isn't room in the squad for him.

Mark Cullen is fit again and is set to join Stevenage Borough on loan with a view to a permanent.

Jamie Devitt has been subject to a bid from Grimsby on a permanent transfer, or a half season long loan with a first option to buy.

Meyler will sign this week, he wants to come and is happy for his agent to thrash out a deal.

No injury worries, but Aluko and Koren will be rested on Saturday ahead of the derby against Sheff Wednesday. Bruce said he wants to pick a team that can get us in the next round.

Bruce said the pitch was appalling and that Blackpool should look into getting it sorted.

Did he give any news on Elmo and if he could be back for the Sheff Wednesday game?

We're aiming for the PL & Mclean isn't a PL level striker, he's not even a championship top 6 striker at the mo. But perhaps a change of scene, a couple of goals for Millwall & he'll perk up.
