Whelan - Solid pro - its not that complicated. Done a good solid job for them over a number of years.

Your problem is you dream of world beating players we'll never sign, so you think anyone who isn't top class is ****e. Its that bi polar personality of yours, you see no middle ground. Mike lives for middle ground. Get with the the programme. Mike's dulling of ambition programme.

Mate most of the Stoke fans think he is ****ing **** and would rub their hands with glee if we were stupid enough to buy him.

'Solid Pro' is just another word for 'Wretched jobber' in my eyes. Why you **** off these no marks really is a mystery to me.

Richards and Dummett? I like Richards but his injury record really goes against him. Dummett? **** that. He will soon be a Saylor mark II, if he isn't already.

I said over a year ago i would not mind McClaren as manager. i thought he was a decent coach and defo a step up from Pardew! I had no idea what would happen from Xmas onwards!! Alex Ferguson very seldom got it wrong, and he never wanted him to go from Man Utd. That was quite a while ago mind, and football has moved on since then! We are not the big draw for a manager we used to be, so I think he might be the best we can do at the moment. Lets give the guy a chance, a bit of breathing space before we start to slaughter him.. I have a sneaky feeling he might be be OK you know! I am not feeling positive about next season, but I am not feeling negative either. Lets just sit back and see what occurs!! The whole of the press and media is waiting on tenterhooks for us to turn on him and create more negative headlines for our club!! Lets stick 2 fingers up to the London Media and get behind our guy, for a change!! Thoughts??

Who said anything about buying Whelan <laugh><laugh><laugh> He has done a decent job in helping them maintain mid table without flirting with relegation. Something we are unable to achieve.

Solid pros are exactly what we need. We had it in Barton, Carroll, Nolan, Perch etc. Not great players, but add a bit of class around them and you get a good mix. Lets just go and buy another band of French B-D internationals and then pretend they are not the problem and its all down to the coaching. You're a ****ing ostrich mate <laugh>

Not sure about Micah, but probably way above what we have currently. Seems injury prone. Hopefully his positional sense has improved through his time in Florence. The Italians know a thing or two about defending.

Dummett is ok as squad player i.e. 4th choice centre back helping to cover left back. If we are relying on him as numero uno I'd be worried. Have we put Haidara down yet? We should.

I've read that they want to announce McLaren today or Tomorrow but they are working on a couple of signings. Perhaps to soften the blow or negative respoonse when he is announced. I expect something big today or tomorrow with ST sales reportedly being so poor.

Micah Richard is miles better than any defender we have apart from Janmaat. He's good in the tackle, he's very strong, good in the air, quick. His pace makes up for his last of positional sense but he's not that bad in this area, and he might have improved.

I'll temper that - I expect announcements that THEY believe are big, but are wholly underwhelming. That's the state of things at NUFC, Charnley's such a lowballer that he'd believe the loan signing of a Man U reserve should be applauded. I think the club at management level has never really moved on since relegation. We run at coaching levels of a Championship club, with the staff to support it and nothing more. Our aspirational signings appear to be Patrick Bamford and Micah Richards. Again, I just don't see any kind of determination to go for better. We're getting a middle-of-the-road manager and throwing middle-of-the-road players at it. 10th is as good as it's likely to ever get. I think the club have worked this out, that they could throw a few bodies at the League Cup to keep the stupid locals happy which won't really have an impact on their season.

I'm personally happy we're signing an english manager and he's thinking about taking english players in. Richards is a good player just kicked out of a very good man city back line. He's pretty good going forward as well.

Are you ****ing hiring him or not? Or is mike still showing him round the golf brolly section of the Eldon Square Sports Direct trying to woo him with a discount?<laugh>
