Personally I can’t see anything other that a slaughter but I hold hope in that Pep loosened the reigns vs MU & they sorta slipped a little. Now if he could oblige from the off …….
Yes I think something to do with football gods is really our only hope. Either burn some sacrificial whatevers’s or go the other way & poke hard.
Talking of sacrificial …... forgot to mention in the post about the keeper. TSP raised Sunday night. Baz hasn’t really been playing great last few games; possibly a couple of marginal errors leading to goals. Rest him & his confidence bashing & play McCarthy? I think he’ll thrive but interesting discussion.
Ah my favourite part of my favourite country. It really is something special. We stayed at Maradiva Villas for our honeymoon. Best holiday of my life, and I harbour long-held desires to retire out there one day.
Unconventional but I’d go 2 GKs and 7 at the back. McCarthy Bazunu KWP Lyanco ABK Caleta-Car Salisu Peraud Larios JWP Adams
Not wishing to sound too despondent at such an early stage of the season but what would be more totally Saintly is to get hammered on Saturday and then beaten by (insert name here) as well. If I were a betting man I would invest heavily on Haaland scoring a fourth consecutive home hattrick. The only thing that might save us from our worst ever defeat is that sometimes, but not always, City ease up when the game is won. In our case that's after we've let in the first one. please log in to view this image
Come Saturday evening I have a feeling we will be lording it up over our neighbours from that giant retirement home known as Bournemouth. Shove that up your Werther's Originals.
The wife and I went to Trou DEau Douce about 8 years ago …….bloody loved it, our hotel was boutique and the food was fantastic.
My working theory is that since we lose against teams we have a chance against, we should win against City because fate will be looking the other way. Yep, going with that.
It's a David v Goliath contest, but this time David doesn't have anything to hit Goliath with. Apart from the unwavering support of almost everyone on this board. Well, quite a few. Probably at least half. A good percentage, anyway. OK, me and a couple of mates.
