Confirmed by who..... And it hasn't happened so far has it? They are just desperate to see it happen. Mike made a twat of himself and showed just how desperate they are when he got 2mins with acun before the game weds....could have ask a great number of things but decided to ask if he was sacking grant and then the next question was did he (acun) know in his head if he was going to sack him. The man had just turned up outside the stadium for his first game in charge after it only being announced an hour or so before ffs!

Grant may well be gone very soon. But the way the local media have been willing it to happen etc it's embarrassing and disrespectful!

If you was the new owner, the new coach or a new player coming to the club and saw how they behaved/reported/acted. Would you want to talk to them?
it's no wonder that the club didn't renew the commentary deal, don't blame McCann or the players for not wanting to talk to burnsy either

If anyone listens to the 'Not the Top 20' podcast, they had an excellent section on us from roughly 30 mins in for about 5 mins summing up a lot of what we've talked about in here. Well worth a listen.

Sort of related . Mcann got slated and is’not forgiven’ for the 8-0 at Wigan. What if he finally said to the players a lot of home truths about their lack of effort and commitment in choice words and they didn’t like the truth. We’d all do it if we weren’t happy about staff or players
Just wondering

I just listened to Sports talk, and I think they were caught on the hop. Clearly, when they announced a Hull City special they were expecting an official announcement from the club during the day about Grant's situation, and it never happened. They then had to fill the show with speculation and assumptions, which came across as frankly as a bit of a botched affair.

I think they should have changed it at the last minute by postponing the Hull City special until something concrete to react to and just make it a normal Monday after the weekend games Sports Talk.

Whoever the producer was needs a bollocking.

They did, late in the programme, admit that was the case.

Sky are bastards predicting the news.

If GM leaving wasn’t already rubber stamped, with an agreed compo package in place, last November it could maybe look like the new owner thinks a 10 point cushion gives enough legroom to get a new man in, who’ll have time to find his feet, add to the squad to help consolidate our current position, assess the current players, target new signings for the Summer & be best prepared to push on next season.

Some odd posts on here, do people really expect the local media to ignore the fact that our manager's sacking is all over the internet and being discussed by everyone already?
Yes, 'all over the internet' doesn't make it news. The HDM were headlining on Sunday afternoon that Grant McCann has been sacked. He hadn't, no-one had spoken to him and no-one was in the position to sack him either. They could have suggested it or asked the question but to headline that he has been sacked was disgraceful and showed a total lack of respect to him.
No matter how some feel about McCann he was at that time still the manager of our club and deserved to be told of his fate before reading it on Hull Live.
He has showed great respect himself throughout all of this and carried on with his duties, as has Cliff Byrne. I know it's expected in football etc etc but if the club hadn't announced that the manager was leaving the local rag shouldn't have done either until it was official, if only out of respect and nothing else.
