Do you think my theory, that some of the information people got on here were 'controlled leaks' designed to put pressure on the seller on aspects of the deal, has any legs?
Possibly...it happens. Agents are the worst for it. In regards to our new owner, people need to remember just how he's made his fortune, where his obvious talents lie and that he knows exactly what to say, when to say it and to who.
I don't know because it wasn't my post. I don't see it as attention seeking though because if the poster was sat next to you in the ground you wouldn't know it was him. It's fans speculation on a public forum and without it the site would wither on the vine. I suppose some exaggerate what they have heard and add a bit, like all the posts on the clubs financial dealings, how can anyone except the clubs accountants possibly know ? But every man and his dog has an opinion. Like talking to a fan in the pub, just take it all with a pinch of salt. The media should be a tad more professional and not have any agendas except getting to the truth of the subject and reporting on that. Not what they think might or should be happening.
I'll start one then, We will sign three players before the window closes and pay a lot of money for them. Which will kick start another rumour that KLP will be sold to finance it and another that Acun is 'saddling the club with debt'..............................
A few of us played that before, and it was scary how easy it is to get stuff on to the national news, never mind the local ones. It'd probably be even easier now. Always watch for 'unnamed sources'. It's even funnier if you can get the made up rumour posted by someone claiming to be ITK.
There'll also be the inevitable one the first time Shota loses that the players are unhappy about McCann being replaced.
Within the context of the thread it was definitely posted as ITK information. As were the other times he posted similar. I have a dislike of those who cannot be trusted with the concept of “confidential” but that’s a separate issue to this. I find it hypocritical to post information as fact and then be critical of others doing similar
In the good old days it was the 'What are you wondering' column in the Green Sports Mail. All sorts of stuff was planted in there, even some on request of the players.
Would make sense if the very public 48h suggestions were designed to put pressure on the EFL timescale too...
As far as I'm concerned,the quicker the BBC is defunded the better and I'm now of the opinion that a couple of ITK'ers will be getting defunded along with them
As they seem to be being judged by the same standards, I'm sure the BBC will honour any invoice the ITKers submit to them.
