Can't you remember which one you were feeling? You posted on the wow thread where you and supers wetre in agreement that you were <feelingabitodd>
OK here is a possible - I won't say probable- scenario for May 13th. Man City are top on goal difference and QPR are in 17th place, again on goal difference. Both have to win to get the title and avoid the drop respectively. But - and here's the interesting bit - both could achieve their aims with a draw,if results elsewhere pan out for them,or in an extreme case either could lose and still win,if you see what I mean. That would be the game of Premiership history.
Errrrrrrr, Nasty. Dave, you're dead right, I'm lucky if I can remember... Ah, yes last night I wasn't feeling myself thats for sure! Abigail Todd is good for a bit of fiddling with!!!!! ILD OTBC
Another round down and the clear winners this weekend were QPR.Their home form is helping them and I had them down for a draw against Spurs plus a win against Stoke.
And let's be honest, we're probably quite enjoying this moment being stretched out. We know we're safe (Wigan would have to improve their goal difference enormously, as well as QPR and Bolton win all their games, plus Villa pick up a couple of wins) and in a way it's delicious to wait for the inevitable moment. Like a sip of a very good brandy.
I have a rather nice Burgundy in the cellar awaiting confirmation! (OK, I don't have a cellar, it's under my desk!)
On the morning of the Portsmouth game, I bought a very nice red here in Vietnam, with an instruction to myself only to open it if or when we got promotion. I didn't expect Cardiff to crumble like they did, so it didn't last long! Middle of the night here in Vietnam, but I just stayed up and drank the whole thing till the small hours.
Used to be a Burgundy man but it's become a bit pricy of late.St.Joseph is my current favourite- still available for just over a tenner.
I adore Rhone reds, St Joseph, as you say but also Gigondas and Crozes-Hermitage Much red Burgundy is overrated and/or overpriced.
Years ago,mid 80's I think Sainsbury's had a Crozes-Hermitage for £3.99.A wonderful creamy tasting wine.It was relatively unheard of at that time and I got a taste for Rhones.Sadly it got discovered and shot up in price.Still good value though. Maybe we should have a Canary Wine thread?
Next season, when we play Manure at home, maybe you and I can go share a nice bottle of Hermitage with Sir Alex - and Lambo can neck a couple of pints of 'heavy' in the Gunn Club
Yes I can just see Lambert weaving his way home through The Gorbals with a cold fish supper in his pocket and the arm ripped off his suit jacket.
