With the players we signed I really didn’t think that we would be in a relegation battle this season. What do I know? At this rate we’ll be down by February. Absolutely fecking useless.
4 mins of extra time don't think we would score if they all went home and left us with the ball and an empty net
Clueless, people said Tisdale made his name in league 2 on this form we will find out, we need to get rid of some of the defenders 5 Ch 4 LB 1 fit RB. 3 St 1 unfit 1 carrying a knock and 1 trying to survive on nil service
Don’t jump down my throat after he’s had just 3 league games in charge but imho Tisdale is not the right man to keep us up. That’s why I was banging on about Graham Alexander. We need someone who will shout at this bunch of underachievers and someone who will be pragmatic, like Coughlan was. I couldn’t give a toss about developing a “Rovers DNA”. The only thing I want to see is Rovers winning games of football. Once you’re successful you can start poncing about with “philosophies” and “DNA”. All that drivel won’t stop relegation. Until these players develop a spine and some steely determination then we may as well start planning trips to Grimsby and Harrogate now.
Don't really know whether Tisdale is the right man to get us out of this or not, on the other hand, I'm not sure if there's a manager alive that could turn this shower of misfits around in time. No doubt our main objective now is to avoid relegation, let's forget about the FA cup and other distractions and concentrate 100% on staying in this league. Major personnel changes are needed in January, if the right people are available - I dread to think what our position in the table will look like by then! It's a shame but if I think back. I enjoyed Rovers much more when we were a good 2nd division side, winning more than we lost, and always in the hunt for a play off spot or promotion. Apart from the odd good spell, I haven't really enjoyed our life in league 1 much, we seem to be constantly bullied off the ball, out muscled, out fought and quite often out classed. Personally I put our current predicament down to bad recruitment by previous manager(s), but we are stuck with what we've got for now, and without any true leader on the pitch and a lack of passion and determination, it's going to be a long and worrying season.
The worrying point is our head of recruitment is now a director and he is responsible for identifying most of the current squad. Come back DC all is forgiven
You definitely seem to struggle considering your squad, I know people hate Steve Evans and I wasn't keen when we signed him, but he does seem to get the best out of the players. Thanks for the 3 points. Good luck for the rest of the season.
You're quite right of course, somebody sanctioned Garner's desire to break up the team and recruit a bunch of players that may be half decent individually, but when put into the same team, left us totally imbalanced and unable to function as a unit. I don't think I have known a team have so many defenders/midfielders but are so lacking up front - and yes I know injuries haven't been kind to us, but surely a decent manager should have a back up plan somewhere? I don't envy PT to be honest, trying to turn this lot into a coherent, effective team is not going to be easy (if even possible). I know it's not the first time Rovers have done it, but selling JCH and not replacing him with someone of equal quality was nothing short of lunacy, so is it any wonder the goals have dried up - however it's made worse by the fact that our defence is so poor, and we can't keep a clean sheet if our lives depended on it.
I think it is an impossible task for PT. He cant sign players until he gets rid of players due to the 23 man squad limit that we have already filled. Who will want to loan or buy our players? Can't see many wanting to leave either considering they just signed a 2 or 3 year contract. So if we want rid, we will probably have to cut our loses and either pay up contracts or offer to clubs for a free signing. Can't see Wael being happy with that. We can only sign U21's and to be honest, we need leaders and experience now. Not more youngsters.
How soon is Mark Little going to be fit if it is not in the near future they could drop him from the squad and that would make room. we also have 4 left backs Leahy Kelly Koiki and Tutondra cant we shift one of those out

Good grief - just got back from a bracing walk along the Cotswold Way and we’ve scored 3 goals! What’s going on?
