Klopp saying he would scrap VAR if he could as the officials are too incompetent to use it.

Again the theory is sound but the theory for the current system is sound.

The problem is the "bolded" part for me. I don't see how this will change in practice what happens now. I mentioned above a system which puts the onus on the teams/managers to activate VAR which for me is the only way round the current problems.

Sure but the issue for me is the continuity. Currently every goal is checked and checked looking for reasons to disallow. My rationale is that if the ref blows just to be sure, then fans won’t celebrate and get the added excitement of “but it could be given”. Make sense?
