I would like it to be true for us. However, in terms of buying both clubs, he would have to relinquish his ownership in Salford (on the rugby side of course). Therefore, I I can't see that being likely given what he has pumped into Salford RLFC.
I've heard his net worth is anywhere between $900 million and $3 billion.

Bullshit. Everyone knows if Allam leaves David Lloyd will be our next owner. Be careful what you wish for.
He is a very outspoken Chairman - often seen in the changing rooms prior to games, and willing to give interviews criticising the team too. No matter what he has done at Salford and the money he has invested, the fans don't respond so I think he does want out. The rumour was his wife was going to put an offer in to buy Hull FC - then when we could relinquish control of Salford he would then be named as owner of Hull FC. I can see him wanting to get into football, but although he wouldn't change the teams name (he may change your away kit to the colours his jockey's wear when riding his horses like he did with Salfords), I don't see him having the patience required to be a football chairman.

Plans for me to also own a football club have been shelved.
My commitment is total both to rugby league and to the Salford Red Devils.
Yes, I have given serious consideration in the past to buying football clubs but will no longer be pursuing this option.
I have decided football ownership is not for me.
Having said that, if another rugby league club was to become available for purchase, my wife Mandy may still be interested in becoming involved as she was with the Bradford Bulls around this time last year.
I would never stand in her way if such an opportunity arose.
It may happen, it may not.
Right now, my priority is seeing the Salford team return to winning ways against Warrington on Friday night.
We have been playing well but results have just not been going for us.
I am certainly glad to see Huddersfield’s Brett Ferres back in action after he was injured playing against Salford on Good Friday.
Huddersfield claimed at the time Ferres would be sidelined until July.
With Ferres coming back much earlier than expected, we have considered offering fresh evidence to the disciplinary people at the RFL and have seen if we could have Rangi Chase’s seven match ban reduced.
No joy though so we will carry on as we are.
It is all so frustrating for the club and the supporters.
I feel the punishment handed out to Rangi may well have been greatly influenced by Huddersfield claiming at the time Ferres would definitely be out for a long time.
I am annoyed with what has gone on and how this has been handled.
I now look forward to the Warrington game and greatly admire the work being done by the Wolves’ owner Simon Moran.
I will be very disappointed if we do not get 6,000 Salford fans at the game.
This is the target.
I keep saying no club is entitled to be supported but we have done all we possibly can to encourage people to come to the AJ Bell Stadium and become involved in the club.
I wait to see if the people again vote with their feet. I have certainly done everything in my power to make people aware of the need for them to back Salford.
We have been all over the city again spreading the word.
We have visited work places, schools colleges and have urged fans to turn out.
The message has definitely gone out.
I remain totally supportive of Salford and ideally, I would like to see more investment in the game.
Anyone coming into the game as I did must however start at the bottom and concentrate on youth investment.
As I said in my column last week, this is the way forward developing home grown players.
I have learned it is best to forget about the big name stars.
We have a few options open to us as to who succeeds Alan Hunte as the head of youth but will not be rushing into an appointment.
Careful consideration has to be given to what is a very important role in the set up of any club. We want to produce a new generation of top stars.
We already have plans in place for next season. Lama Tasi and Tony Puletua will both be leaving the club at the end of this season and Scott Taylor will also move on.
We will look in this country to replace.
We signed Scott from Wigan for a year and have never tried enticing him to stay and back down from what had ben agreed.
He is a fine player and he has given everything for Salford this season.
He has shown what a top professional he is and has often led from the front.
I wish Scott all the best for the future.
He is a very hard working player who never gives anything less than 100 percent.
