I wonder if Mane wants some easy titles

Consider the level we've had to play at over the last 5 years and we've only won 1 league title in that time and then consider how hard Mane et al have had to play over that period.
I wonder if the 'Man City' factor might start to drive players out of the league at the back end of their prime. I mean why would you want to keep playing a league knowing that despite gaining 90+ points you still don't win the league, especially when you're starting to count the years left on your career, whereas if you move to Bayern and virtually walk to the league title.

There aren't many clubs in the world where you can spunk £100m on one player and him be a flop but still come away with the title, the rest of the league would need that person to be big impact.

Maybe a motivation, maybe not. Just a thought and what might happen in the future.

I've had similar thoughts. As I've said earlier, I think it's fooling oneself to a degree when you win titles in an easier league, but perhaps it will be enough for him.
The City factor is definitely a big one in this league if you measure your ability by trophies won. Which is the wrong attitude imo, but obviously not everybody shares that view.

Maybe but I think he just wants a new challenge. He's won everything he possibly can with Liverpool.

Reactions: Ivan Dobsky
Maybe not solely, but probably has some impact. Does a lot of charity work and that extra money can do a lot of good in his home country.
It's possible that he's conscious of the fact that he's entering into the final stages of his career and wants to make as much as he can so he can put it to good use at home.
In the end we're all just speculating.
He seems a decent bloke, and he's decided that this is what he wants, so good luck to him.
