Oh well. Pretty uninspiring and not the man I wanted to get it but will get my full backing. Roll on Wycombe.
Whatever the case he's now one of us and we have to back him. He's proved to be a good manager in the past, let's hope he is again in the future.
And if it means long hoof ball, I don't give a flying **** as long as it brings us 3 points and in May we are promoted
He moved to Bolton Wanderers in June 2016 and after leading the Trotters to their best start to a league campaign in 82 years, his first season in charge ended in promotion to the Championship. He then kept Bolton in the Championship the following season, despite operating under a transfer embargo. On 20.2.17 Bolton defeated SAFC 1-0. He helped to relegate us.
Me too, let's hope the 2nd half is in the Championship. In reality contracts are largely irrelevant tbh.
Absolutely - I couldn't give a flying **** about how we play! ONly thing that matters is 3 points at the end of the game
True, and his would be peanuts to pay off in the football world. The length of it does make you wonder though. Having said that I'm thoroughly sick of overthinking everything and reading between the lines when there's nowt there to read so I'm more than ready to draw a line under it and get back on with feeling optimistic and supporting the lads.
Haway Phil, you were always my choice. Excuse me, have to dash, my kegs appear to have burst into flames
I've no idea how to feel, one second I'm thinking he's done well in this league before with Colchester and Bolton, also reasonably well at Bradford establishing them as a top half club after promotion with them from league two. The other half of me is looking at his failure at Hull and Charlton and the fact he plays dull defensive long ball football and I'm wondering if I can be arsed with that anymore. I want to enjoy going to the match again, something we haven't been able to do for years and watching dull insipid football isn't going to help that at all. I dunno, it's a massive wait and see from me.
Good record in getting teams promoted from this league. Did well at Bolton despite difficult circumstances. Football style? Let's see what he does with the players we have. Do we have the players needed for long ball? Anyone know his record with youth players?
I believe he has 3 promotions to his name with two at this level.. He deserves our respect and backing, so let's hope he gets it. I can't believe that I have read some saying they will stop going because of him! Why?
