He’s definitely not ready for the prem I think he’d struggle in the championship tbf. Could have just been sick tho you never know.
Missed him today. Not the best player in the world but I think he guarantees us promotion from this league. Not too bothered if he goes in the summer even for nothing but need him at the mo.
Ross is adamant that he is genuinely ill, he says he heard Friday night he was bad and sent a doctor round yesterday to check on him who confirmed it. You automatically assume it's the usual BS when every player who's about to be sold strangely falls ill or picks up a knock in training but if Ross believes it then I'll go along with that.
Another rumour (and thats all it is) was that Crystal palac'e DoF was at the SoL yesterday. Was JR being clever in not having him in the squad at all? I'm more inclined to believe the ill rumour but could it be SAFC are being clever and f*cking Maja's agent about. I would like to think so.
But Maja must know whether he is ill or not and his agent, whatever people may think about their actions, is still HIS agent. What would be in it for Maja to play along with an 'illness' ruse that benefits the club?
Can't buy that Gil, It's a game we needed to win and ended up playing one up top, if Maja was fit we had to play him imo.
They've got that tremendous young coach haven't they? Strange move, but not a bad one for him if he actually gets game time, which I doubt. We clearly need to move on from it and recruit accordingly.
Makes more sense if they can give him game time instead of sitting on the bench in a higher league here. that other young lad seems to be doing well in Germany and maybe that's in his thoughts. I'd prefer him to stay but would find him moving abroad slightly easier to swallow. we'll have to wait and see it's the waiting that I find intolerable.
It’s not just Sancho at Dortmund mate, there’s a lad Nelson from Arsenal at Hoffenheim already and Moenchengladback have a couple English teenagers. We’ve all heard about Hudson-Odoi and Bayern as well. It’s a growing trend, similar league in physicality, massive crowds, I think these young lads are thinking ‘I can go her, play, maybe come back to England established’. Smart from them, and good for the national team. Mind, Maja is no Jadon Sancho, ha.
https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/s...eason-with-sunderland-before-moving-overseas/ He'll move abroad for a pittance as he can sign a pre-contract with a foreign club now (can't do that with UK clubs as it breaches the rules) and my issue is that we may end up with someone with his eye on the grass on the other side of the fence for the rest of this season. If he has little or nothing to play for with SAFC then why would he put in 100%
Seems an odd move for him. If money can be found to finance deals for Grigg and/or Leadbitter, why can't Maja be offered sufficient remuneration to persuade him to stay?
Pleased some arab team paid the release fee of £8 million on Fifa'19 now. I bought Jordan Ayew with the proceeds.
We've offered him what he asked for, we need to face up that he wants to leave. Sent from my Moto G (5) using Tapatalk
Well, maybe he does want to leave and that would be why he can't be offered sufficient remuneration to persuade him to stay. But in the current climate of money being king, it's the obvious question to ask. Bordeaux isn't necessarily the most obvious destination, in footballing terms, for someone in Josh Maja's position so it's interesting to speculate as to why he's keen on a move there.
Does his agent have continental links? I think I read that somewhere. If so then its probably his agent who wants him to move there.
