Maybe, maybe not. I think the EPL is terrified of an independent regulator coming in so wants to sound tougher than they are/were. So this could be their first attempt to do that. More bad publicity for the mags/Saudis and they could use it to make an example of the mags to show that they don't need a regulator coming in above them. It'll be a lot easier to make an example of the mags than, say Man City or Chelsea. It's still a long way off if it happens.

Torally agree....the only thing that will make the PL react....is the fact they are ****ting themselves as to what an independant regulator will bring....some will be twitchy back handers will be stopped by stopping dodgy owners coming in...so they only have limited opertunities to show they are capable...the mags being one....man city findings being the other.....fail at these the independant regulator will have a field day showing how incapable the PL.are....proving what everyone already knows

Someone said in here not long ago that Jack Ross looked done as a first team manager, purely on the basis of his last few moves haven't gone well so his reputation had plummeted!

This more or less confirms it, even on a short term basis what kind of manager accepts that kind of role if they want to get back in to first team football?

I think he might be well suited to that kind of role and they probably are paying him what he has been getting as the main man elsewhere!

Can't recall him blooding any of our youngsters either tbh so managing a youth academy is a strange one.

Aye it’s a shame as he had some decent qualities while here, biggest issue was he went instantly defensive whenever we had a 1 goal lead and it usually backfired. Odd how he never learned from that like

Some mag YouTuber was on the radio this morning as he said he’d get a tattoo of Murdered (mehrdad or whatever he’s called) if they qualified for Europe. As it’s now confirmed he was talking to the radio

asked about Sunderland and he said it’ll be great if we don’t get promoted so he can laugh at us. As well.

His mate will probably get a tattoo of Jack the Ripper!!
