Since we pretty much know who is on the gallows tonight, any thoughts on who AFC should chuck in the drink tank?
I have an idea but want to see what everyone else thinks.

Unless he was bluffing early of course and you're on the same team. Mafia have time to plan a strategy from the off as I remember Vote on Bisc early then change mind and no-one really notices etc etc.....just saying

Very true... Would be risky, after last game where my risk backfired massively I wouldn't try something that risky again to be honest but is a possibility.

Onviously i I know it's not the case though

If you get chucked in the drink tank does that mean you can't do your normal actions? If that's the case i would vote chuck Mikey in there to hedge our bets. If he's mafia, we don't want him doing any of the mafia voting. If he's a witness, we don't want him getting hacked down.

Exactly what I was going to say.
If Nozzer turns out to be Mafia then that means Mikey is more or less a known innocent, so will be ripe for an assassination or recruitment.

Surely they wouldn't both assassinating him? If he's telling the truth, then doesn't that mean he's 100% a townie with no role? So no value to the Mafia in any way - why kill someone with no role when you could try and find the opposing Mafia?

Tbh I wouldn't lock anyone up at this stage, or at least don't let us know who it will be. Mafia may try to kill or recruit Mikey, but they won't if you tell them he is going to be locked up. Keep it a secret and they may try to waste an action on someone who is protected from it.

Also locking up someone at this stage may not tell us much, and you may get the journo or vigilante which would harm the town. And you can't lock someone up twice in a row, so if you decided to protect Mikey then he would still be vulnerable the following night.

hi, yes an arrest = no actions but not safe from lynch. the witness protection action allows lynch protection however so makes cop quite powerful

Here's my take on a number of things:

Last night was actually quite good. The mafia always had the power to recruit so it being witnessed was a bonus. The killer axing a mafia was a bonus. Lynching an innocent was always statistically the most likely outcome, especially night 1.

Nozzer is up for the lynch. I would vote for him too but at this point do we learn anything more from a pile on so why bother? On the other hand since not voting at all might be one of the conditions for getting ebola I will vote Nozzer.

If Nozzer is mafia, Mikey is a genuine witness and a townsperson ("I will be selecting one townsperson at random each day"). So it would seem like a target for mafia recruitment or assassination, but on the other hand why would they bother since from now on he will not have any more information for us, unless the small probability he is a witness again? In any case afcftw might as well arrest him but two notes to remember:

1. afcftw will not be able to arrest him again tomorrow ("can’t arrest people twice in a row")
2. "however the drunk tank is not necessarily the safest place in the world" does this just refer to "The hitman can kill someone in jail but it will cost a huge amount" or something else? EDIT: MITO above also says not safe from lynch

If Nozzer is not mafia there are possible secret rules and stuff but I doubt it and let's cross that bridge when we get to it.

Though I'm not saying that is what has happened here.

Yes, but remember the Mafia know everyone who is not on their team, so they will have known he was not aligned with them from the start. If anything, knowing he is a witness makes him less valuable, as he is a townie with no role, when what they really want to do is take out townies with roles, or the opposing Mafia.

Yes but we didnt. Now we can use his known innocence to help guide our votes, as we know we can trust him (for tonight atleast)
Do we know that Mikey is a no role townie? Can only plain townies be witnesses?

I would suggest we lynch one of the non voters from yesterday or non speaker. Not sure who they are but I would guess someone can come up with a list.

I think Nozzer is pretty much a goner tonight.
Even if he is innocent, we get information from it.

Sorry, despite voting to lynch Nozzer For reasons best known to my brain it hadn't clicked that we were voting to lynch Nozzer.
