Off Topic mafia 5: game thread

Sounds very muh like the drunked ramblings of a Mafia boss who has drunken all his most expensive wine in the knowledge that tonight he will be lynched

 

Just to throw this out there, but it is a possibility that the mafia may be able to intimidate a witness into giving a false account. If AFC has hidden abilities, the mafia may have too.
I know Nozzer is not long for this world, but if he is found to be innocent, it may not neccesarily 100% mean Mikey is mafia, he could be getting leaned on by some wise guys.

 

Mikey is definitely in my sights for the lynch if Nozzer is innocent. Wheres the paperboy?

Dear all. I am now just on so I am personally a bit late. I have all the info but need to count the votes.

Local football club are in need of a new bandwagon after the previous one has been broken from overuse. After a recent spell of good form, one defeat has meant that the old "Rodgers out bandwagon" which had not been used since early December and which had grown rusty has collapsed under the weight of people jumping on it.

Rumours are afloat that a bandwagon previously used for "Di Maria's the best player in the world" may be going spare due to everyone jumping off and instead getting on the "LVG Tactical Genius" bandwagon instead.

Intriguing. Surely if Nozzer is Mafia he would be trying to find the other Mafia, ergo that would imply IBWT might be a member of whichever Mafia Nozzer is not? Unsure why you try to claim he is town, unless you are trying to take advantage of the confusion to hide him in plain sight?

 

I feel IBWT either has a town role or is guilty, definitely feel suspicious of him, though no concrete reasoning why...

 

That would make sense if the Mafia have that power. Choose two non Mafia people and make one of them finger the other. We then lynch Nozzer, if he's innocent we lynch Mikey, and potentially have killed two innocents. Of course the Mafia may get lucky and one of them is from the other side anyway, so it's a no lose scenario.

That would be a very powerful power to have, so I wonder if MITO would allow the Mafia to have it - it basically lets them kill two townies early on with little risk. Although only one Mafia recruited last night and no one was hit, so maybe the other Mafia spent their cash on using this power?

I'm just struggling with the likelihood of Danilo being recruited, murdered and witnessed all on the same night - seems very implausible. Also him being described as the Mafia goon when the rules say each Mafia has only one goon - surely he couldn't be the goon if recruited?

Tho' ultimately, for all the scepticism, I think the only way to find out for sure is to lynch Nozzer and see what turns up.

The thing with Mikey is, if Nozzer turns out to be innocent, then Mikey is guaranteed death, so that would be a pretty dumb move to just make it up if you are mafia as you are signing your own death warrant. Also note that Mikey was careful to use the exact words he was given, possibly because any elaboration or deviation from the the story may have caused him harm.
Its just a theory, but like you say, Nozzer's fate tonight will be the key variable.

 

Nozzer voted for me within about 5 minutes of the game starting... If I was on a different Mafia team to him then he would only be having a wild stab on the dark (he admitted he only voted me because it's a sure fire thing given I was Mafia in last couple of games).

withjn 5 minutes of the game he'd have no way of knowing I was 100% Mafia?

Onviously i I know im not, but if I was, there's no way nozzer would know that early in the game?

 

I heard Rodgers was hiding in his closet with Magic in close proximity.

 

Unless he was bluffing early of course and you're on the same team. Mafia have time to plan a strategy from the off as I remember Vote on Bisc early then change mind and no-one really notices etc etc.....just saying
