So if afc calls up a second cop tonight, he can still arrest one person but no witness protection. To be honest I don't see much point in holding off with the recruiting, unless we want to lock-up half the town. The first would appear to make more long-term sense to me.
 
To answer query Nozzers post is clear enough. The chief cop can't investigate. He has other powers. If the cop dies there is no transfer of powers as the role is empty.

So it won't be a Mafia that is converted so seems sensible to activate immediately. However, the second cop is not announced and they could be recruited so there is still a risk.

Well it's not in the best interests of either player to try and kill me. Vigilante would screw the town and serial killer risks losing the game immediately and also takes out someone who is likely to help eliminate his rivals.

I already raised that issue.
Apparantly no, the cop is chosen for him from the townie pool and is not selected by AFC himself.
So thats a good thing, we can be sure both cops are kosher and will each know the other is.

Unless the new cop gets recruited
 
In that case then, it will be worth AFC putting someone in prison most nights.
If they are mafia they lose the ability to perform their role for the night, if they're a townie we lose nothing.
Unless they are the vigilante, but I think its deffo worth the risk.

Also may aswell recruit a copper right away afc, now point in waiting if we know whoever you recruit will be a townie.
 
Something I'm going to get out in the open nice and early as it's worth keeping in mind.

I have additional powers to the ones you all know about and therefor I assume so do the two mafia teams, keep this in mind when we are working out what the mafia can afford to do as they may have courses of action available that we haven't considered.

And don't ask what my additional powers are. For now they will remain hidden.

I'm not sure at what point the policeman recruits - it could be after the mafia recruit. It would have to be a fairly good hit though. They wouldp probably be innocent rather than defo. Worth the risk though, I would say.

Gonna lodge a No Lynch for now, unless afcftw comes up with something which I wouldn't be against to be fair, the odds for a random lynch aren't actually that terrible by the looks of things with this set-up.

Yeah even if the mafia recruit happens first, since the townie AFC recruits would be chosen from (presumably) random, the chances of it being the same guy that the mafia recruit would be very small.
