OK here is the rule:

PMs for player roles must be sent before 8pm to have effect that night. The exceptions are the journalist (and hacker) who has a 10am deadline for the newspaper article to be published, and the heavy who has until 10am to name his target. Try to PM your decisions early to avoid problems.


So... it does say in the rules Heavy has to put in who to pressure by 10am.

I think if he survives beyond tonight- he should be a lead candidate for being removed. I need to go back and read the rules though- I remember reading somewhere if you confess to being coerced by heavy you die.. Maybe that was just on the sign up thread. He should definitely be considered prime suspect regardless if he survives. I think not lynching him tonight may give the town more information. Let him speak tomorrow.

think thats unfair to everyone milk cos I got to work at 8am. the article is open to post on. what you just said is anyone who was on early could have pm'd astro prior to 10am but those not on couldn't have.... what if astro got his instructions yesterday? there's comments form the time the thread opened and i presume it opened after everyone knew what they were doing.

He is of course hence me using biggest identifiable asset He may not be the biggest asset in the long run but at the mo he is one we can protect As a town all we have to do is target any who vote for him (accepting that one may well be forced). If we all stick to that then the only vote they can ever get on him is a forced one and their own. Any player forced to vote for Sky will always allude to it anyway surely. Sky should only ever get one vote max.

Normally in the opening round we literally have nothing to go on (unless someone admits to a role), this time we have a player to focus on....some might even say...A God <hallelujah>

I agree with this. Maybe Sky should suggest who votes for who too since we know he's innocent? anyone not falling in line is guilty.

i can't tell about the votes right now. i've no ideas forming at this point on suspicions . On its face BRB and gerrez could just be digging each other, and on its face nobody has denied so far IBWT being influenced so i assume this will form everyone strategy when influenced in later rounds. I can't tell if its a bluff or truth so have to park it.

I would still like a 3 or 4 way tie. I'd much perfer that to lads kill someone on a very low evidence basis or worse non game japery.

Maybe... although that would look suspicious. If IBWT is alive this time tomorrow I'd consider him a prime suspect and consider lynching him.


To be fair. Gerrez isn't normally one to hide around- so if he is town he could be a valuable asset. If he's not town he's probably going to give himself away eventually.

Someone outside that list COULD be the heavy- but that's the heavy is most likely on that list. It's unlikely someone would come on to PM their suggestion but not visit the thread.

My guess is, nobody would 100% know how the Mafia would react if a innocent didn't do as they were told and therefore its not written down in the rules. Biscan speaking out will force the Mafia's hand so we find out later what happens.

visit but not write a message. Look you might be right but its too early to call that and i think its a wee bit unfair given they have private baords to talk all they want as mafia and line this up.

however........ ther eis something else you should consider... that list can be used by the mafia to look for the journalist too... they also have to give their info between 8pm and 10am to get the paper out so for me a quick message to said press hack is to avoid revealing yourself.

I would have assumed pregame like others that ibwt did tip his hand but then i did think it was also ok unitl you wrote this. It does spice it up now wondering what will happen so good thought thanks.

Your list is taken from who as commented on this before 10am right? That means nothing really. The Heavy could have sent the PM and not posted, we all know a preferred Mafia tactic is to stay quiet and out of the limelight!

Indeed... so if he doesn't die tonight that doesn't tell us as much.
So.
A) He's bluffing (and no one is countering his claim with their own because the heavy didn't pressure ANYONE). Motive: He's Mafia and wants to make people think he is innocent.
B) He's not bluffing and innocent.
C) Some other "twist" unrevealed.

B is probably most likely. A is something IBWT is very capable of doing- and if we do keep him alive we should keep a close eye on him for the rest of the game. C- we can't really prepare for this. Just don't let ourselves get blinkered into thinking there isn't a third possibility. IBWT has to remain a suspect for the rest of the game now.

I'm not saying with 100% certainty. Certainly wouldn't be evidence in a court of law... but in Mafia you have to look for any little clue like that. Human nature... if you're on to PM you're going to want to post to. Would take good foresight and will power not to.

I'm fairly sure the heavy will be on that rather long short list. Not 100% sure... but it is some of the only evidence we have so far.

If Biscan is innocent, I fully expect him to be killed come nightfall.

Voting for him would be silly in this regard because if he is lynched we won't know if we can speak out about being pressured by the heavy.

Of course, if he's Mafia then none of this matters.

I said that when I thought that the rules were if you say you're being forced to vote for a heavy then you die. If that were the rules and you didn't die tonight it meant you had to be bluffing. If you read my more recent comments I say you should be considered a suspect for the remainder of the game.

I can't say who I will be voting for tomorrow. I don't think we should be voting for you today... but you will always be a suspect now.
