Could be used as a bargaining tool to lure Emile Sinclair from Posh?
Oh No. I would rather keep Mclean. Sorry but Sinclair is not an improvement.

What a manager says to the press and what he thinks and says behind closed doors are two very different things.

PT knows what's going on.
Anyway if McLean goes it will almost certainly see us get someone better to replace him, whether that's by selling him for a fee or a straight swap, so going by your usual 'best case scenario will always happen' criteria you should be expecting him to leave.
Shame you didn't carry on.
My view is that MaClean may go if an acceptable bid comes in. I would say Brighton could be a real possibility in that it would team him up with Mac-Smith again. That would release money for another striker.
A few weeks ago i would have agreed with you. But rumours abound down south that Poyet may go to the PL and CMS wants out of there. Interesting to note CMS goal productivity has fallen alot in 2012.!!!
I hope St Nick spends the summer teaching Mac, and developing him as a striker, and he's still with us, all refreshed and better for having been coached by someone he could easily emulate in style, skill and ability, and all you haters **** off.

Another option could be that Mclean is sold for an "undisclosed" fee. The club claim it was too good an offer to turn down and he leaves with his pride intact as he is not "sold" because he is not good enough but the fee was "silly money"...everyone wins

I for one would be willing to put money on Mclean to score 15+goals next season
