To answer the question, I would strongly doubt that GP would ever be given the boot this season unless there is utter turmoil going on. And that is turmoil as NUFC and SAFC fans would use the word, not the other English clubs, with the exception of maybe Pompey, but anyway, you know what I mean.

He must have been hired with life in the Championship in mind at least as a very real possibility. He can take no blame for the squad or the fixture list. I agree it would take something really remarkable to get him sacked - - much more than simply a humiliating relegation.

I think you guys underestimate the whims of a billionnaire. Gus is not quite as crazy as PDC but is still a controversial character by nature. Trigger doesn't seem to need much of an excuse and has run through quite a few managers, some of them supposedly respected safe hands. I'm sure I read a statement in the aftermath of the demise of PDC where he basically indicated that sometimes the desire for stability has to be overridden be the need to stay in the league or get results. If Gus has terrible run with results he'll have a bullet loaded into the Ellis's trusty Smith and Wesson with his name on. These guys don't see much past a year or two. The fans will also get on his back, they are no different to any other clubs fans. There are some who are sensible and will wait, but many have the modern way ingrained in them.

I do think Sunderland will pick up though, I just don't know whether it will be in time.
 
They need wins fast. I think palace are certain to go. The problem is the other two places are really a toss up. After this start the Mackems really need at least one more team to go right to pot. Hope they stay up though for the sake of the bants

I still think we're all biologically and evolutionary enabled to be racist. Now, I'm not saying I support racism, but my penis is incredibly racist. Don't get me wrong, I think there are pretty Asian women, Black women etc, but drawing up a list whilst bored at work the other day, I came to the conclusion that I logically would naturally prefer a white partner. It would in fact be the 16th preferable/desirable trait (as in there are 15 traits above it which trump it in consideration, but if there were a case where two women of equal appropriateness made advances towards me, and one was white and the other was another race, I'd most likely pick the white person) amongst the criteria for sexual attraction. You realise how shallow you are when you do it, let me tell you, but discussing it with colleagues who instantly gasp with horror, when you reason it out, you want a sexy person as a partner, otherwise they'd just be your friend. Nobody wants someone who's caring above someone looking like Brad Pitt, unless that person is blind and limbless.

Now, I think we should discuss whether penis-racism pertains only to JPF's, or whether Obis, ABs, DGs, ACS' etc etc are penis racists too...

adds a bit of spice to life though don't you think? It's stupid as hell as they're just human beings who live a couple of miles down the road, but it's also funny as hell the way they get talked about like they're lower than ****, and it just gets passed down from father to son, generation after generation. The north east wouldn't be the same without it.
