Are we playing on the semantics of language here.

We currently have one owner. Obi wants fan ownership, so even if Allam is a fan, unless he is the only fan then that is still a change of current ownership structure.

A fan owned club simply means the fans having some control, not all...

And who defines this?
Do they have a say in when to sack the manager?
Do they have a say in which players to buy/sell?

Who decides who these fans are?

Have a read again of the stuff that's bothering you. It explains it in ways that should settle your concerns and answers your queries. <ok>

I would say that that assessment of Malky Mackay is closer to fact than opinion. He got Cardiff City promoted. He strengthened the team and beat Manchester City and Swansea City and drew with Manchester United.

I would say based on his record most impartial outsiders think he has delivered. Steve Bruce certainly thought so when he said "From the outside they should be really thanking Malky, he has done a wonderful job... He gets them up, and is making a fist of keeping them up."

The fact that we are outsiders means that we don't know all the facts about what happened so the blog refrained from saying he shouldn't be sacked.

Well done! You have qualified yourself by playing with mealy-mouthed words. You should have stayed away from the Cardiff situation, at this stage at least. They are all doing a good enough job of making fools of themselves without our name-change campaign involving itself. The campaign has a single objective, put your energies into that and keep your noses out of the business of another club. You are the guy that tells us that despite Allem applying to change our name, you really don't have any issue with his lies, deceit and manipulation; so besides the strip change at Cardiff, which they took with minimal fuss, besides the usual shenanigans between a owner and manager, why are you puffing your pathetic chests out and getting involved in another club's football matters?

Membership in the bin, your judgment is lacking perspective and your answers are poor and constructed to placate, not give a true response. Who the **** do you think you are kidding - I genuinely wanted to support you, but . . . .

Our non TV revenue is pathetic, many of our customers are pissed off, much of the industry think our owner is bonkers. We're in the Premier League and that's a great achievement that our owner should be proud of, but outside of that, we're not in a great place.

But you are happy with him as an owner - come on OLM, you're not daft enough to keep that nonsense going.

Last season was the first time we achieved automatic promotion to the Premier League. We played some of the best football I had ever seen from a City team and we should have done better on the business side then we did.

Our attendances this season are up because we got promotion. Even then we have had to offer deals with kids for a quid.

Why do we need a bigger stadium then? Why is this piss-poor episode necessary? Why are you happy with him ad an owner?

I genuinely don't think our owner being a nutter is a bad thing. I quite like it, makes things more interesting and you know he won't let anyone take us to the cleaners. Despite the whole name change thing, I think the club is in safe hands with him, not only because he needs it to be successful or else he risks losing almost £100,000,000.00.

I don't like the name change, if not for the reasons many do, I just think it sounds daft and doesn't need changing. But name change or no name change, I think we will be better of for him in the long term.

If he does go ahead with the name change, I hope he goes the whole way and changes the badge too. It would e a shame to go through all this for just half a job, and despite what people say, I can see the potential for Hull Tigers to make a stronger brand image if applied in the right way but the badge is useless.

If the plan is to make real nice clothes and have them sold at general retail outlets across the globe I can see it being a success, but name change or not, the badge will hamper that, no one will buy clothes because they're nice with a logo like that.

Not that I particularly want the badge to change, even if the tiger does look a bit limp wristed, I'm just a firm believer of if you're going to do something, do it properly, and changing the name alone is only half a job which would mean all this **** would be for nothing.

No one deals honestly. Allam is about as honest as you get, if he's got something to say, he'll say it. A good quality for a man to have in my opinion.

Hmmm, that's not true is it? Think of all the things he has said over the name-change. Sill, your post offers consistency. :emoticon-0105-wink:

He's been misquoted, and had his words twisted to suit various people's own agendas. I also believe he's been genuinely mistaken about what he's saying too then been misrepresented.

He's been more honest and open about his intentions than CTWD, that is for sure.

According to OBI, that is his secondary objective (or primary if that is his only means to keep the name)

The primary objective is to stop the name change, between now and the vote that is where most of our energy will be going.

We have raised the question of the fans owning the club. To achieve that requires a lot of detailed work. First we have to have a Supporters Trust with a constitution that allows us, in my opinion, to achieve one member one vote. A constitution to stop us getting asset stripped and one that allows us to raise money from third parties. The Tigers Co-op is the only Hull City supporters trust which means talking to them and seeing if this first stage is possible.

The second stage will involve detailed discussions with Assem Allam about whether he still wants to have Hull City become a fan owned club and whether he will work towards that goal with the Supporters Trust. Swansea City is the only example of a Premier League team that is doing something similar. When the second stage is complete we may end up with a 100% fan owned club or joint ownership with Assem Allam or his family.

Technically you may be right that eventually the owners change if we get to own, or partially own, the club.

The inference from your statement is that we want Assem Allam to sell up and go. Apologies if that isn't the case. We don't want that. We want to work with him to achieve his stated goal of passing ownership of Hull City to the fans. Before we get there we have a FA Council meeting and a lot of negotiation.

We have supported those Cardiff City fans opposed to the change of strip from the first days of our campaign. Our blog is consistent with that.

The campaign doesn't have a single objective. It has a primary objective which is to campaign to stop the name change which is what we have done and will continue to do.

You want us to have two primary objectives to stop the name change and to attack Assem Allam. The campaign from the beginning has said we don't have an issue with his ownership just the name.

I'm sorry you feel the need to rip up your membership card because we expressed sympathy to Cardiff City fans but I stand by what we wrote.
