Good questions from Stockholm and Oozkan. I expected Luton to be very strong this season (shows what I know :emoticon-0105-wink:) ....
-> What's gone they were a PL team last season. Have they lost a lot of players?
-> Does anyone know why Luton sucks, after all parachute money

Perhaps they're using the money wisely; reinvesting in their infrastructure, setting them up for success in the future. You'd think they'd have enough about them to avoid relegation this season.

Then again, I could say the same about us...

Luton were prem last season

But they had a pathetic season, 26 points
We never got under 30 in any of our seasons

And dont forget, both everton and forest had point deductions last season

They had a **** squad last season, propped up with higher quality like ross barkley and andros townsend
They barely spent anything this summer and have a fair few injuries

But theres no way theyd finish playoffs with their current team

They decided to use the Premier League money to build a new ground, rather than trying to compete in the Premier League. As the outcome would probably have been the same, even if they'd spent all the money on players, it was probably a good move (considering their current ground is falling down).

But have they kept most of the players that got them promoted in the first place ???

Arctic weather on the way to make the visit to Luton even more of a pleasure than normal.

Defeat again I’m afraid. Wally will go with the same unsuccessful approach, which will yield the same outcome.

Walter Out. He should have gone after the Oxford game.

He should have gone after the Sheffield United game. It was clear then he’s incapable of organising a professional football team.

I remember when Luton went up they had such power, pace, physicality that they 'blew' most sides away. I remember thinking they had these attributes that we were missing - we had some decent players but were so lacking with real pace and physicality.
They understandably spent on infrastructure rather than players, but did add a bit of experience and (relative) quality like Barkley. I thought they would come back down but would just be too strong once again for the Championship with the players they had when they went up and the new money.
I don't know, maybe they've lost a few of those that got them there in the first place?

Teams like that often seem to lose the momentum that got them up in the first place. Even if they have the same players, maybe the desire is slightly less when they're no longer underdogs trying to pull off an incredible upset and it just doesn't work any more.

Say it. SAY IT. why not

While walter will take us down

Out of the current 24 champ teams
We are first with the most years in the english 2nd division with 62 years

We are championship heavyweights

2nd team has 54 years

GK Pandur
RCB Jones
CB Hughes
LCB McLaughlin
RWB Coyle/Drameh
LWB Giles
DCM Simons
CM Slater
CM Puerta/Palmer
ST Bedia
ST Pedro

Let’s ****ing have it!!!
(PS. Yes I will accept the job!!)

That would be very similar to my team except drop either Slater or Simons and have both Palmer and Puerta and possibly drop Bedia for Omur

But we know it's going to be nothing like that

That's very interesting, however as I said earlier around 80% of the other clubs have been Premier League regulars in the last 15 years which really does raise the standard of the comp. It's such a strong league, hence the reason Luton are really struggling
