Had a feeling you'd show up tonight Bob after being silent after back to back wins <whistle>
Great performances in both those games too, yeah? And if all you can manage is a snide remark after the crap we've endured for the las three games good on you, you have really got your priorities spot on.

I just can't believe Monks subs tonight. Worst performance of the season from him.
Really? Look back through the threads to remind yourself of how often (even his supporters) we've moaned about his dreadful decision making. Tonight IMO it started with the team sheet and got more dire as the even wore on.

Why the 'told you so' remark? We are still in 9th and have picked up a decent amount of points over the busy Xmas period. Yes we were rubbish tonight, but to suggest that Monk is under pressure is downright stupid.

Must admit that I have had it with Shelvey, he can bugger off back to Scouser land, the guy is a complete tool of the highest order................<ok>

Monk I think swung the game for his beloved Brenda, who was looking like the next gaffer to be sacked, Monk cannot possible be that inept with his decisions tonight, he must have done it for his old boss.

Aren't we all his supporters? After all he is the manager of our team.

so dissapointed after really looking forward to this game - we were our own worst enemies tonight, bad decision making all over the pitch but particularly in midfield and in particularly by Shelvey. should have gone in the 1st half (incredible really after Monk has publically highlighted his problem) and was responsible for 2 of the Pool goals, 1st for not going with his man and of course the own goal. we are not good enough to leave out our best player (Ki) and Monk has to take the blame for that and for not seeing the problem earlier. As far a Shelvey goes he blows hot and cold and although I think hes got talent hes too much of a liability and doesnt fit into our style - i think its time to offload him!

I have to agree with you Bob, there was nothing that made sense from Monk tonight, absolutely nothing.................<ok>

Best side won tonight no complaints, Wrong team selection plus bony, leon, Richards and routs were poor. Shelvey was the only player to show some enthusiasm and at least tried to get the ball going forward but bony was not there he was behind 4 players that i counted for most of the game. poor place for the main striker to be in and lessened our chances of ever getting a goal.

Serious question Dai, did you watch the game? Leon was our best player, with Fernandez a very close second.

Think Shelvey is getting a raw deal here and being made a scapegoat, the whole team were ****e front to back. At least Shelvey tried to get us going, well done Dai, thought we would argue about this one. :)

I agree. Quite frankly, he should never play for us again. The trouble is, although he'll get banned now, we are left with only Leon, Carroll and Gylfi as CMs now.
Frankly I'd rather see some of the youngsters ahead of shelvy based on recent form... Fulton, Lucas, King, etc...?

Ps. Those that are saying he put in a shift must have been watching a different game, every time I saw him he was stood about...reminded me of jan molby.

A sane version of what I thought :emoticon-0137-clapp
What does Monk think he's going to get from Shelvey?
My missus reckoned he looked like a mummy tonight - arms out pointing at what others should do then lumbering around the pitch two yards behind the play and taking an age to decide what to do with the ball (not alone on that one tonight though).
