Djenepo is a risk as a LB but worth the gamble IMO. Let's not crucify Ralph if it backfires please. We've all been crying out for a change of shape and we've got it.
I assume the absence of Redmond and Stephens means they are definitely off. Surprised by Walcott’s inclusion as I assumed he would be off one way or another
I'm still expecting us to lose today, but at least Ralph is giving us a better chance of winning. (I see that Rodgers has recalled Perez. It makes sense because whenever he plays us, he turns into peak Ronaldo.)
What if he scores a hattrick of own goals? Would that be OK to then say he may have had a poor game ...
One thing that this line-up screams is pace up top. Against Johnny Evans. I mean, of course they'll target Djenepo on the left, but hell, at least we have a chance of scoring a couple ourselves. I'm going for a tight 9-0 Saints victory. Mara with 6.
That is brave. And against the team that humiliates us for fun. I worry about the lack of defensive help Djenepo will get from Elyounoussi.
People can criticise its fine? The chances of him scoring 1 own goal is stupid odds. But I'd rather have him at LB than Valery or Stephens at RB.
Typically Barnes is available for selection. It's gonna be really hard to keep a clean sheet today, Marking out Maddison is key.
Would've preferred Stuey to Mo El but yeah an exciting XI and hopefully the two CBs are not put under too much pressure and that they ditch zonal marking at corners.
