Closing ceremony abit of a let down best two performers were dead :/

lol I was having the same conversation with one of the directors at work today. How can you stage a live showcase of the best British music through the years when almost all of the biggest groups are missing at least one member due to death.

Luke Campbell was on BBC Breakfast....................... whatta boring ****. no personality whatsoever!
Good job he can box cos he wouldn't make it as a DJ!

That's the point, he is a boxer and is good at what he does. So what if he wasn't on BBC Breakfast acting all Michael McIntyre?

not sure if its just a coincidence but i spent 5 times the amount i would normally spend on a bike and now cycle on a weekend .
Its only to keep up my fitness and not to aim to join team sky , but still i love going for a new top speed :D

Didn't think much of the closing ceremony. The opening one was far better.

All the atheletes looked bored ****less.

The fireworks, Eirc Iddle, the lighting effects, the Scooters, Ray Davies, Beady Eye, the Who, Elbow, the ginger kid singing "wish you were here", Fat Boy Slim, Imagine were probably the highlights of an average ending ceremony to the Olympics.

Thought Madness were better at the Jubilee.

Can't stand any of the others including Queen.

The teeny boppers favourites, One Direction were bloody miming.

Thought the remaining 2 from Queen was exellent, also the John Lennons imagine was a nice touch

Agreed.^^ this. Even Freddie Mercury put in an appearance from the other side as did John Lennon. Great planning. <whistle> It was a great closing ceremony, imo, apart from One Direction, George Michaels awful 2nd song. Something for everyone and the athletes did look like they were having a blast. Nice touches were Jessie J with Queen (ex.bass player John Deacon has retired from performing years ago) and Nick Mason(Pink Floyds drummer) on drums with Ed Sheeran who performed Pink Floyds classic Wish you were Here. The Who were just about the perfect choice to end the show with My Generation. Shame that David Bowie was ill which stopped him performing Team GB's new anthem Heroes.

A Great end to a Great Final days competition and more medals in the boxing and modern pentathlon. Samantha Murrays silver being the last one awarded at the 30th Olympiad. What a way to close and 65 medals in total for team GB. Keep it going to Rio in 2016 when some new heroes will be born. Thanks and good luck to all those who have now retired. Gone but never to be forgotton. The memories will live on forever.!!!

That bloke butting in with French nonsense every few seconds before it was said in English was even more annoying than in the opening ceremony, and I absolutely can't stand 'musicians' like Tinie Tempah and Taio Cruz (whatever the bloody difference is).

After two weeks of outstanding British sporting achievement where numerous exemplary and inspirational role models came forth, it was disappointing that the closing ceremony promoted convicted sex pest, jailbird, drunk & drug induced dangerous driver George Michael

His biggest crime was those leather slacks. But that skull belt was something else. Also I must have missed the announcement that H from Steps is now fronting the Kaiser Chiefs.
