If they're still missing. sadly they're dead. If you can't confirm the deaths, I don't get why there isn't a number on people missing. They have lists of those who got to the emergency shelters, and they must have records on who lived in Grenfell, so surely they can at least give an estimate of the number of people missing?
The protocol is find body, identify body, inform relatives then go public. We're not even at stage one yet for most of the people suspected of being in the building at the time.
Hence 'estimate'. If they haven't turned up at one of the emergency shelter or are not in hospital, they're missing. I'm not on about names by the way, just numbers. Absolutely keep identities private until ready (if ever).
Thought I'd heard estimate of 'maybe into 3 figures'. Perhaps someone will cough up a 'missing' list soon.
It's also possible some of the critically ill haven't been identified as well. Don't want to go into gruesome details...
As if to prove my point Lily Allen is now kicking off about how the media are 'downplaying ' the death toll which she claims is closer to 150. Give it a rest. Honestly, just pack it in and grow up.
Is that the Lily Allen that claims she attained fame without the help of her dad and Harry Enfield. Yeah right I REALLY believe her.
Her favourite holiday camp in Calais doesn't exist anymore... needs to keep her pathetic profile up..
I can't stand Lily Allen but refering to the refugee camp in Calais as a 'holiday camp' just makes you look like a total ****.
Maybe you don't care but others do. 17 deaths justbisnt exciting enough to devote too much interest. I can't wait for the death count to rise, I wish theyd just make a number up.
Just seen the interview. She really is a disgusting self important yet ignorant pig. She believes the media are downplaying the numbers of deceased. When Jon Snow explained to her that he too had heard unofficial numbers there was also certain protocols that needed to be fulfilled before releasing the numbers. "I know they need to inform next of kin but in this case there are no next of kin" Ignorant ****.
I've ridden past it on a motorcycle - first time I thought to myself ''can't believe these French ****ers have put a tip so close to the port'' ........ if only, people were living in that stink, holiday camp my arse.
this fire would have reached unimaginable temperatures in the 1000c+ ranges, and to rage for such long hours human remains will be in a horrific state, and it will be hard to recognise them from the other damaged and burnt items etc and absolutely NO remains are removed from the site until forensic experts have analysed the area and provided evaluations to ensuring they collect all the remains and they won't make clear of anything they've found until the identity is verified it's utterly grim and horrific, but that's the reality and that's why it will take such a long long time you can't speculate about figures.. that would be wrong morally and unscientific this is just an absolute tragedy.. and something needs sorting.. it could have been the grenfell or any other number of these horrible towers making the building look nicer for the wealthy folk in kensington and chelsea to look at.. you couldn't ****ing make it up could you it is honestly absolutely beyond comprehension for me just how much these people suffered.. it is unforgivable. i hope all those cheapskating on safety, on supplies etc are brought to justice. no modern sprinkler system which would have almost definitely helped to contain the fire and heat no loud communal fire alarm it was primarily immigrant families and people in this tower block.. if we let these people into the country and we put them in housing association buildings. then people expect to be safe. i'm very glad the pm has opened a public inquiry into this, (and this is not a political post, so please no stupid political comments) to me it just seems a 'put poor people in this tower block, and save as much money as possible' type job to me.. again, this is a public forum, i'm entitled to my opinion and if i'm wrong, then i will be very much glad to be wrong in this case. RIP to all those who lost their lives in this needless tragedy.. it is one of the most horrific things i have ever witnessed on a screen in my life these post war monstrosities should have been knocked down a long time ago..
