They mention in the commentary that he's being used by Klinsmann as a winger. It'll be interesting to see how the rest of his season pans out.
 
I read he might come early as he's trying to get a Latvian (or something) passport in order to do so
 
Seattle Sounders beat LA Galaxy 2-0 in the final game of the regular MLS season on Saturday, ensuring that they finished 3 points ahead of that side and top of the table.
This wins them something called The Supporter's Cup, which goes to the side with the best record during the pre-playoff games, which nets them a double.
They've already won the US Open Cup, so there's only the MLS Cup left to play for. Nobody's ever won all three.

Seems like Yedlin's had a good season, while we've been playing without a right-back! <laugh> Typical.

Still looks very dangerous now. I think a season in the Championship, where he's playing consistently in a decent side who play good football, will do him a lot of good.

We shall see how long Brentford remain in the promotion mix.
 
Tom Carroll scored his first Swansea goal today and also picked up an assist as the won 6-2 at Tranmere.
Hope he gets a run in the side, as Shelvey's suspended.

I'd say it's because he gets moved around on the field a lot:
4 as central attacking midfielder (which is where his assist came from)
4 as a central midfielder
3 as a left midfielder
1 as an attacking left midfielder
1 as a defensive midfielder

Holtby works pretty well as a central attacking midfielder, as his performances in the Europa League last season demonstrated, but he's rarely played there for Hamburg.
 
Final Score commentator at Brentford's win over Rotherham was singing Pritchard's praises, apparently he was very much a key man and deserved a goal. As it was he didn't get one, but Brentford won 1-0 anyway.
 
Carroll had a decent game for Swansea against the Spam, too.
Ticked along in a fairly deep role and looked very comfortable in that side, though they weren't quite at it today.
 
Tom Carroll completed 95 passes for the Swans yesterday, apparently.
That's more than any other player in the Premier League on the day.
Should help him to keep his place in the side.
