That's straight out of the Fergie book of man management. When Gary Neville was captain of United he swore at SAF during a match, he was dropped for the next match, then taken to Swindon (or somewhere) with the reserve team for a cup game when all other first teamers were left behind. He didn't make it off the bench.

Ceballos got 85 minutes in Arouca's 0-0 draw against Pacos de Ferreira
Falque got 68 minutes in Vallecano's 2-3 loss to Factitious Madrid
Gomelt must have been loaned to Royal Antwerp's b-team by mistake...

Apart from the timecards, anyone know how well Ceballos is actually playing at Arouca ??

Three starts and one sub appearance in the league, two starts in the Taca de Liga where he scored a free kick against Beira-Mar.
Bad news for those who hate us using inverted wingers: he's played on both the left and the right this season...

He played the "roaming" role in the front 3 of the 4-3-3 for the U21s last season very well.
I thought AVB would be going 4-3-3 this season, and was looking forward to seeing
Ceballos repeat his play in the senior squad.

But with hindsight a loan is probably the best thing that could happen to him this season.

I watched this game, Falque had the ball net at 0-1, so unlucky as his far post effort went in off the thigh of a team-mate who was in an OS position. 1-1 different game, RM went 3-0 up then switched off, very fortunate to get over the line. Falque did ok once Rayo got going, considering who he was up against.

    Let's see...
Jake Livermore starts for Hull against Southampton, but wishes he didn't as they're 3-0 down at half time
Benny got 90 minutes in QPR's 1-1 draw with Reading, picking up a booking
Khumalo starts for Doncaster against Barnsley
Simon Dawkins starts for Derby against Sheffield Wednesday, whilst Adam Smith is on the bench APFU
Alex Prichard, Grant Hall and Ryan Mason all start for Swindon Hotspur against Macclesfield in the FA Cup, and are 1-0 down at half time
Christian Ceballos starts for FC Arouca against Chaves in the Taca de Portugal
Lawrence Vigouroux starts for Hyde against Chester, which is 1-1 at half time

I was at Reading today and if that is how Benny has been performing recently, then AVB was correct in his decision to let him go. People often talk about how players' are tested by having to turn out on a cold and wet night up north in Barnsley or somewhere. Well this was manky and wet in Berkshire and Ekotto blatantly didn't fancy it and he deserves a right bollocking for his weak dodging away from the shot which Reading scored from.

I felt there were a number of players who showed the kind of complacency that I was worrying about with them. They were on top and playing well but in the second half they just looked like they expected to score and win, the Reading goal really rocked them but fairplay to Barton for stepping up and making sure they didn't come away with nothing.

I thought we gave up on Alex McCarthy when Reading slapped a £sillymoney pricetag on him...

We should have an Adebayor "illness" sweepstake article going a week before the Tromso game.
But you reckon AVB may make him travel regardless. :)

Poor old Ryan Mason doesn't get much luck with injuries. He has been sent for a scan on his ankle after Swindon's 4-0 stuffing in the FAC.

Little Tommy Carroll has now returned to QPR and it is hoped he will be fit for their next game on the 23rd against Charlton.

Meanwhile, Ryan Mason's ankle injury is expected to keep him out of the Swindon side for at least a month.
