With Harry kane, he will join a club with a view to moving as he can't progress to a level where he can play premier league football to a good standard. He should move to Scotland as you have strikers like Billy mackay scoring 20plus goals in the premier league and kane would be at his level up here.

Cannot, as in never will ??
Or as in there are insufficient opportunities at Spurs for him to progress enough to tempt a PL
club to take him on loan ??

it would be good if a team like Palace signed him instead of chamakh (just to see if he can make it) but he reminds me of Lee Barnard, not in terms of being similar players as both play differently but in terms of the level they can reach.

Maybe players like Kane believe in themselves so he won't give up but to be a premier league striker then I can't see where the quality is.

IMHO Kane will not make it.

However a sense of courtesy compells me to think that if Obika has been
given so much resource in the hope he makes it, then given Kanes' comparative age,
he should be treated similarly.

Nile Ranger is up in front of the judge in January and could get sent down. Swindon like playing two strikers.

Maybe? Possibly? Too low a club for him?

I think Kane can make it here, perhaps not as a first choice but definitely someone who make the bench and become second choice to the main striker.

Has a great attitude, works hard and is a decent finisher. Just needs more experience.

I think Swindon is too low for him, ideally I'd love him to go to a Prem club, if not a Prem then a top 6 Championship side. He's showed he's a bit versatile after playing on the left against Cardiff when he came on and he started there against Villa in the cup too.

AVB mentioned he needs to have the right loan this time, he done great for Leyton Orient and Millwall but then had spells at Norwich and Leicester where he barely featured for Norwich and was a sub 90% of the time for Leicester. It's a shame Deeney has been on form for Watford as I think they'd be perfect for Harry in the way they play.

Our young goalkeeper Lawrence Vigoroux has joined Conference side Hyde United for a month.

Our keeper coach Tony Parks, is a great believer in young goalies having a spell in non league football as he believes it does them good to get "bashed about" a bit.

Makes sense. I'm sure they get more out of it than playing U18 level games.
I think that's one of the advantages of the loan system that we've been using. Our less physical players get used to a bit of rough treatment, like Modric did on loan in Bosnia when he was young.

Sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but Little Tommy Carroll has returned to Spurs for treatment on the injury he suffered in the recent England under 21 game. My information is that the injury is giving the medical staff some concern at the moment.

What's the name of that player who injured him?

Haha.

I am obviously disappointed he is injured, but also because QPR are halfway into a difficult run of fixtures at the moment and it was gong to be a test for him and I wanted to see how he coped with it.

If the current rumours are to be believed, then Adebayor was at Wigan last night watching the Wigan v QPR game.

Loan move imminent ??

Any news on Carroll?

Could Adebayors ego allow him to play in the championship, not so sure!

Harry Kane looks to have so much time when playing for the youth teams and that is the sign of a good player. When he tries to step up a level he sometimes appears rushed. I think he has a confidence issue and tries too hard. A loan to Spain or Portugal might do him good. A step up in skill level but not so intense. I think he will make it, he's too good not to.

Carroll is back at Spurs to get treatment from our medical staff. Last I heard, which was on Monday, they were concerned about him.

Adebayor and Harry got on great, so I could see them getting together again, although realistically I am with you and doubt Ace's commitment to a championship side.

Love the way AVB dragged Ade all the way to the arse end of Eastern Europe last week and then never played him !!

Villas-Boas mentioned that Adebayor got a knock in training from Dawson, which is why he was unavailable last night.
I'm hoping that we'll start Kane and Defoe against Sheriff and give Adebayor some time from the bench. Probably not likely, though.

Simon Dawkins has opened his account for Derby, scoring an equaliser against QPR to level Jermaine Jenas' opener.

Adam Smith starts on the bench AGAIN

Other than that, it's a full set of our loanees playing today, with Vigouroux making his debut in goal for Hyde. Ceballos and Falque are getting games for FC Arouca and Rayo Vallecano respectively so they may feature this weekend, although Royal Antwerp seem to have forgotten where they left Gomelt...

QPR midfielder Karl Henry has admitted that his side are missing on-loan Tottenham midfielder Tom Carroll.
Rangers were completely overrun in midfield during the 2-0 defeat at Burnley on Saturday, with assistant boss Kevin Bond later blaming their sloppy passing.

After a difficult start at QPR, Carroll started to impress before recently suffering an ankle injury while playing for England Under-21s and missed games against both Millwall and Burnley.

“We’ve missed Tom Carroll since his injury, because he’s done fantastically well for us
,” Henry said.

“We need to get back to the way we’ve been playing for the majority of the season.”
