I think your in cloud cuckoo land. Sordel isour best player and one of two who could play at ahigher level. Befire you start slagging ms off count the balls too feet to him. Hes obviously being played up top on the shoulder of the defender- hence offsides will happen.suggestions of lazinesss are laughable- hes the pacy striker so should be up toop

Come back when you've learnt to read.

Dan, from what I've heard about the 70s and 80s, Dyche's attitude towards Sordell isn't all that different to GT's attitude towards Luther in the early days. He knows that there is a star in the making there, but never knows what he's going to get on a given day.

NNW, this is the only real criticism i have of Marv alone. I love the guy and know that one day he will play premiership football and make a real name for himself.

I have to say i was rather shocked to see that Loach had been dropped, simply because i was sudden and RG had had no game time. However i think Rene gave a good account of himself, he was not afraid to come off his line and collect high balls, nor was he afraid to slide in at strikers feet. I would rather see Loach as the first choice, but i have a lot more respect for Gilmartin after last night.

we must have been watching a different game!

Gilmartin didn't look comfortable. Yes, his kick is better than SL's, i said that in the match thread. Yes, his distribution is generally ok, though at times dodgy, one stood out as being downright dangerous, he looked very nervous and i dread to think what will happen on Saturday. i hope he's got his first match nerves out of the way by then!

Obviously i can only comment on the 2nd half, but 2/3 times he slid in at strikers feet and got the ball, and he claimed the ball plenty of times. His kicking also seems better. But this was only one game obviously.

Yep, though not the first time we've seen him...he's played a fair bit of non league games...cup and pre-season. We'll see if the nerves are gone, and a stronger, more able goalkeeper takes residence between the sticks...fingers crossed he's up to it!

I think there was a big improvement. Last year he was appalling and was at fault for their goal. This time he made some saves, its just a shame he was not tested more.
