Come back when you've learnt to read. Dan, from what I've heard about the 70s and 80s, Dyche's attitude towards Sordell isn't all that different to GT's attitude towards Luther in the early days. He knows that there is a star in the making there, but never knows what he's going to get on a given day.
NNW, this is the only real criticism i have of Marv alone. I love the guy and know that one day he will play premiership football and make a real name for himself.
Gilmartin didn't look comfortable. Yes, his kick is better than SL's, i said that in the match thread. Yes, his distribution is generally ok, though at times dodgy, one stood out as being downright dangerous, he looked very nervous and i dread to think what will happen on Saturday. i hope he's got his first match nerves out of the way by then!
Obviously i can only comment on the 2nd half, but 2/3 times he slid in at strikers feet and got the ball, and he claimed the ball plenty of times. His kicking also seems better. But this was only one game obviously.
Yep, though not the first time we've seen him...he's played a fair bit of non league games...cup and pre-season. We'll see if the nerves are gone, and a stronger, more able goalkeeper takes residence between the sticks...fingers crossed he's up to it!
Well i did not like him against brighton last year, but he did better this time out. He can only keep improving.
We'll see...i hope you're right..i just would have liked to have seen improvement from last year, last night!
I think there was a big improvement. Last year he was appalling and was at fault for their goal. This time he made some saves, its just a shame he was not tested more.
I think Rene should have a little run in the team ,god knows the lad has been patient enough ,he deserves his chance!
To be honest, whoever is in goal doesnt matter much , coz no one is expecting us to get anything anyway!
