In what world was tonight any better? He’s actually losing the plot.

Doesn't get much more Brent and delusional than that.

"On Saturday, we were really poor, there's no denying that, but I didn't feel today that we were ever out of the game," he said.
"I felt like we were the better side in between the boxes, and I felt they were the better side in both boxes.
"They defended their box better than us, and obviously they scored the three goals and were a bit sharper.
"But I don't think it was a reason to throw the baby out with the bathwater today as much.
I'm confused, I came on here a few weeks back and was told quite clearly, you were being entertained and that was ALL that mattered - See Smugs for details.
I gently advised your pretty football and possession would win you nowt, 64% possession tonight. Obviously there is also the other theory of relativity, that I'm often told...
Charlton
Rotherham
Sheffield Wednesday
they must have all upped their game against you.![]()
When was the last time Sunderland won 6 league games in a row? @Prehab26?It's a wierd thing with these streaks his teams have .
No doubt he can get a team playing some good football. At these times, the buzzwords, cliches and banal overspeak will go over the players heads. They will filter out the bits they need.
But when any team is struggling, at any level, what you want to hear are quick, simple and very direct instructions. Does Johnson have this ability? Or does he long wind it when the team are lost in a game?
This might explain the horror runs his teams always seem to have.
A lot of people made that journey tonight and they deserve better than another meek surrender.
Whees this cocknocker?
Exactly. Based on the limited bits and pieces that I've seen, what he said sounds like an honest assessment of what happened. Don't see why people get so upset with what he says. There are clearly some issues that need working on in defence but you don't sack a manager because of that. He is under pressure because we've lost three on the trot but any manager would be.I agree with Johnson n that we were better team between the boxes and they were the better team in the boxes. They defended better than us and were clinical. If one of our 3 or 4 chances comes off it turns the game. Instead, every time we have “that” chance they waltz down the other end and score. There was no way in a million years we deserved to lose that 3-0 in football terms. But Flanagan is the Flanagan we all saw last season, and Doyle literally looks like he’s lost out there.
Doyle wouldn’t even be in the squad fir me next league game. He needs to be out of the side.
I’d love the chance to go to away games again! Not bothered about results at any of the ones I’ve been to, just enjoyed every one as it’s been a great day out. Used to go all the timeSpent approx £160 on that "match" tonight.
And now standing outside Central Station waiting for a taxi.
Very disappointing
