We went with an experienced manager in Nige, but it didn’t get us any further. Was that down to JL and BT, if so, then maybe they are there issue.
It was SL that appointed Nige to steady the ship, which he achieved, so don’t see your point on either score, BT & JL didn’t chose or appoint him, and he did achieve his objective.

Steve needs to go back to Nige and get him in to stop this rot or go and get some pedigree in - and stop JL and BT from recruiting this dross.

we need change otherwise we are going down under Manning.

We went with an experienced manager in Nige,
what we do not know is how many or who was considered by the "selectors" the brief was adamant "get rid of and reduce the bill"

reading between the lines with NP he was not a good fit at the time due to his health and [arrogance] stuborness his deputy was never going to be our permanent manager so held the ship till LM arrived .

complaining wishing hoping this early in season makes for a read to show fans exasperations and maybe a little impatience !

Ain’t going to happen with Nige is it. His time has gone RR. Whether SL will step in I don’t know, he seems more interested in the Rugby these days.

What target was he meeting last season. SL set him a target of the getting close to, if not in the play offs, we were nowhere near that under Nige last season. Season 1 was to keep us up for sure, after that it was top half, then top 10, ideally 6, he achieved 1 of his targets, then failed and got fired, as did those before him. I genuinely don’t understand this fascination with Nige and all the free passes he’s given by people on here, while absolutely hammering those before and after…

I’m not a Nige ‘luvvie’ either Supcon - and I certainly don’t harp back to him when we are on a poor run of form because I simply don’t think it helps.
However, as I’ve said many times on here and on OTIB I thought his sacking - particularly the timing of it - was harsh and unexpected. It does seem crazy to hand the big budget to Liam instead of a proven experienced manager at this or higher level.
I do get the annoyance about that - but moaning on about it won’t bring Nige back and it won’t help us win games.
I just hope LM turns it around.

And our boring to watch style.
must admit with no or few goals 1-1 or even a 1-0 last minute penalty" ... it is "boring" ... if we scored in the 11th minute then defended till the end would it still be boring?

Supcon, you are easily pleased.
I find it incredibly boring with no end product and can't see any pattern/hope in the final third.
I suppose we might carry a set piece threat when Dickie is fit but mate, I'm clutching at straws.

Red Robin loves a dinosaur manager it seems
I don’t think there is a more decorated manager at Championship level than Neil Warnock. The number of promotions he’s overseen plus the number of dead certs for the drop he’s saved.
Love him or hate him his record has to be the best the second tier has ever seen.
I have nothing but respect for the guy. He won’t give you ‘pretty’ football, but he’ll get you promoted.
When we’ve finished playing around with ‘young upcoming potentials’ and are serious about promotion then he’d deliver.
He is getting on a bit now - I think some of his ‘fire’ might be waning. We’ve missed that boat methinks.

I remember, especially on FB fans for NPs head at the time, saying didn’t know what he was doing..
