You can bet though, that if it was the other way round and he was a she who lost out on a medal or even a place in the GB diving squad to a trans woman that he'd be shouting out how unfair it is and wanting rules changed.

The fact is Lia Thomas was no where in the US rankings as a male swimmer, an also ran, but once she became a trans woman she was able to smash records and be number one ranked female swimmer. What is to stop unscrupulous countries or individuals from claiming to be transgender just to win medals and tje associated money and prestige that goes with it, simply because its easier? And that's before you start on about the affect on non trans women, women's rights etc...

Fairness, rightly so should be the number 1 starting point for sport. At all levels. Inclusion simply doesn't trump it. Anyone saying this should be shot down in flames. Like a heavyweight wanting to fight a bantamweight just because they want too.

Nope.

My daughter told me this morning that a man who had a sex change is now taking the NHS to court because he is sad and wants to change back. It is their fault they did not do more to stop him in the first place.
One of my old directors had a daughter and she changed to a male. He went to all of the appointments and shrink appointments. He said the shrink did nothing to persuade her not to change because they are so scared if they did put doubts in these people’s head and they commit suicided they are in more trouble.

The part in bold is just complete guess work by the bloke though. He doesn't know that and no shrink is certainly going to admit it. I'm not sure any qualified psychiatrist would consider their role to be to persuade someone not to change. It's about doing what is best for the patient.

There are many people with serious mental health issues who can't get treatment for conditions that are actually diagnosed.

I'm really not sure why the hours of psychiatrists are being used in this way. If someone is totally convinced they want a sex change let them go ahead ...

... if they're not sure, and go ahead anyway, that's too bad.
