If let’s say Tyson Fury decided he wanted to be a female how would people feel about him beating the **** out of the women boxers? Lia Thomas is a fella, looks like a fella, is built like a fella and has a massive advantage over the women he’s competing against. These women have trained for their entire lives most likely then are put against this fella. It’s a kick in the teeth and vastly unfair.
I have coached youth football for years, both at grassroots and at premier league academy standards. I have seen girls dominate boys games time and again, up to about u13. One of the best 3 players I ever coached was a girl, technically she was superb and played top division boys football to u12 but then just started to find the physicality a struggle. She is now tearing it up in the womens game, and she is still technically better than a lot of professional mens players I watch. I hate to say it but she would not cope in a mens side though, purely from a physical perspective.

The way I see it, it’s like taking drugs, you are only fooling yourself if you think you have won it legitimately.
I have nothing against anyone want to trans, i personally don't understand it but hey, it's their choice how they wish to live their lives.

For every choice in life we make there are consequences of those choices. In my mind you should only be able to compete in sports based upon the sex on your birth certificate, not what you identify as. Stops all debate about fairness in sport

Very good point you are making it here. She has transitioned to a woman and deserves to use those pro nouns etc... but does she not sit and think you know what before this I was an also ran in the men's sport and probably would never have won anything. Now I'm absolutely dominating the sport and smashing all kids of records why old that possibly be?
I'm all for people to be whatever they are but I think there also needs to be a bit of acceptance from the trans communities that there are differences.
Not sport related and in danger of kicking a honest nest but I remember reading an article by a gay woman saying she has been abused and labeled all kinds of stuff because she has knocked back trans woman on the basis of not being attracted to men or someone who was born one. Its a very strong movement at the moment and there is very little opposition!

Big changes needed otherwise there is no point females competeitin at that level.

If young girls know, 100%, that they'll never beat pretendy-girls they'll not bother trying ...

Depends what how you qualify sport. Women can obviously compete in horse racing as Friday has clearly shown. I can't come to terms with transgender in sport although I respect anyone's wish to be transgenedersed although I will never really understand the whys. You can not allow transgendered persons to compete in physical sport in either direction, its just cheating
You can’t have women v men in physical sport or competition, it’s evolution, like you can’t have men giving birth.
Either that or they create their own trans gender sporting bodies so that they can compete against each other.
We have the paralympics for example enabling those who couldn't compete competitively to still enjoy sport

You can't transform from a man to a woman, it's absolutely impossible.

It's the equivalent of years of unrestricted doping. Yes, their testosterone levels might be low now, but they've had the benefit of much higher levels than is legal for a woman for a long time.
Maybe it should be like disability sports, various categories for various levels of transition.
Sooner or later a trans woman (or is it man, not sure on the terminology) will kill or seriously injure a woman in a contact sport and then it will all kick off.
