It would be an impossible task for any manager to assimilate so many new players into a squad and expect success. If true, this would have to be at least a three window project at least.
So, we'd need to buy a right back, a left back, a centre half - Branthwaite?, centre midfield - Joao Neves? (x2?) a striker - Toney? and another wide forward - Olise?
Antony is improving and nobody could ever criticise his work rate or effort, the same can't be said for Sancho. All this talk of Sancho coming back because he's had one half decent game is ****ing bizarre, to be absolutely honest.
I would 100% rather keep and develop Antony than have that spoofer back.
Ahh usual ABU bollox tbh. How about actually judging him on his time with us? What a novel idea.
Btw we're 6 points off Spuds with 4 games to go. Can we leapfrog them to 5th and a Europy spot? Probably easier than trying to win the Cup final to do it.
What happens if our bluff is called and someone puts in an 'acceptable' offer for Fernandes. Or Martinez?
Do we then sell? Those two should also be on the not for sale list.
They may well be testing the water but there is no actual way we would sell all of our players bar those three named.
ETH needed to have done this in the middle of Antony’s first season when it was clear that the tricks of cutting back were simply not working. Antony was far too predictable which made it easy to defend against him on the right. If the story about Olise is true, he’d be a major upgrade on the right due to his dynamism to take on players, speed, and ability to provide solid crosses under pressure.I would quite like to see Antony given a fair run of games on the left wing to see what he can do there.
He won the manager of the year? LOLIt would indeed be good to just get 5th though. If only to chuckle at the inexplicable idea of awarding Angebollocks manager of the season because he won a few games.
This doesn't make any sense. Why give those awards in February with three months left to play?Yeah man, he won this. In February!

well the obvious assumption is that it is based on the calendar year and the award ceremony is a couple of months later .This doesn't make any sense. Why give those awards in February with three months left to play?
