Without our club, Sky were/are **** all.
People paid and tuned in to watch United, that's it. Sky and the premier league exist because of that.

Apparently the scouting department had valued Antony at £25m before being overpaying by £60m. It makes one wonder what kind of fkry has been going on at the club for so long.
I’ve lamented money issues before with many dismissing it by suggesting that it isn’t our money to worry about. Today, we can conclusively say that the issues of the last decade are about money. Too much of it floating around led to unfettered money for Glazers dividends, overbidding for wrong players, and the right players coming to the club primarily for the wrong reason - money!
Our transfers and humongous wage bill suggests that the club fundamentally lacked financial discipline at the very top that led to gross waste and lack of investment in the club’s infrastructure. Ultimately, the indiscipline trickled down to the players. They collected huge sums and gained that drained their hunger for success on the pitch and relegated the role of the manager.
This is why I believe Ratcliffe’s involvement is a much needed catalyst to do a reset on the club’s overall discipline problems.

I really liked the player. But what's the point of having someone collect a salary without ever doing any work? I believe he's more of a victim of a poorly run club than a villain.
I hear what you say, but I read the other5 day that the 'training fall-out' was all about the preparation for the upcoming Arsenal game and how Sancho, having been asked by ETH to replicate the style/movement of a specific Arsenal player in order to prepare the squad for the upcoming game, Sancho took that as a sign that he wouldn't feature and downed tools. Rather than contribute as asked to help his team mates, he continuously ****ed about and hampered our prep for the match - which we lost............
Yeah, but we’ve lost ten other matches in the league. Surely, Sancho can’t be the only problem. I think he joined us at a poor time. Then ETH brought in Antony which further limited Sancho’s game time. Overall, players misfiring is a problem we helped create through the operating structure of the club. That has to start changing.
The Sancho issue is a specific problem, a problem with a player who thought himself above the team, a player who had a history of ill discipline, a player who thought he could turn it on or off on a whim, a player who thought only of himself, not the team. Bad results come and go in football, **** like Sancho and Pogba go only one way - down.
I don't agree with the characterization that he is another Pogba. He barely says a word even with him being out of the team. Pogba on the other hand was all mouth along with his agent which unsettled the team.
Nonetheless, it is far too easy to blame players as the problem at United. Heck, we have a bucket load of them that we campaign to get rid of.
Interesting reading in the Stock Exchange Commission report regarding the club takeover. Initially there were 26 interested parties, narrowed down to JR and the Qataris who were the preferred bidders, but they refused to provide proof of where their funds were coming from. At one point the Glazers all but told them what price per share would be acceptable but again, they refused to provide the required documentation regarding funds. So, far from the Glazers dragging their heels, it was the sheik who ****ed up the deal, leaving the Glazers no option but to accept JR's bid. Completely different story from all the hype.

Couldn’t the Glazers have provided an update on the circumstance of the Qatari bid? Sounds like those pigs do not want any governance whatsoever. Good thing they didn’t win.

If that story is accurate, I agree 100% with what Ratcliffe is trying to do. Enough of short term fixes that are still massive gambles yet give the players a retirement pay day. We have done this far too many times with horrible outcomes.
It would never have been anything but a loan to the end of the season.
The only positives I saw from it were that his experience could've been great for Hojlund and Rashford. And he's defo a leader on the pitch.
