There was a strong backlash in the sporting press here against Greenwood joining Getafe (a suburb of Madrid) but Real Madrid are quite a conservative club and I suspect they would be wary of the bad press should they try to bring in Greenwood. Barca, on the other hand, wouldn't be bothered but are still having financial difficulties so I can see him staying at Getafe for a couple of seasons and then moving on.Real Madrid has allegedly made a £40m bid for Greenwood. Barcelona also interested. The Getafe manager is quoted as saying they've managed to get a great player on loan.
Greenwood has scored five goals and four assists in 15 appearances for Getafe this season and he's now a regular in their starting team after beginning the campaign on the substitute bench.
