He needs to learn to stop hiding in games then, it's so easy to spot it's ridiculous.

James Garner a way better prospect than McTominay. Big call to throw him into premier league after a season in the Championship though.

I don’t understand why we are always afraid to bring on our own young players into the league. We almost bought Bellingham for ridiculous amounts of money and we surely would have put him in the first team. Is he really any better than Garner?

I would personally love to see Garner in the first team. I think that he would grow into it.

“ Cristiano Ronaldo won’t leave and Harry Maguire will remain my captain”

<yikes>
CR is no longer fit to be considered for captain at this point. I would throw my weight behind Maguire. I don’t see an alternative and he certainly would have learned how to be a better leader.

Let’s face it, I don’t think our problems had anything to do with captain.

It looks like the executives were spotted in Barcelona. I guess this is the next push. Barcelona is certainly not the desperate one in this story.

Regardless of what we think of their financial situation, they are not as desperate to sell as much we are desperate to make De Jong a marquee singing.

Can I just say one thing?

You're wrong.

There, I've said it.

Barca are desperate, because they want to sign Lewandowski, Silva, Raphina. They also have not been able to register any of their new signings so far, or even those that have resigned (Dembele).

They are literally contravening every FFP rule in the book unless they sell and get some very expensive players off the books.

So stfu on this for a while, please.

Do you not see Ten Hag not being bowed by social media as a good thing?

I do.

Good man management to back Maguire at this stage. **** what anyone else says.

I just hope you are right and he’s done a thorough assessment. There is a fine line between doing the right thing and being stubborn trying to flog a dead horse. Sometimes it pays to lance the boil early. And the issue disappears. Let’s hope that Maguire will repay his boss’s faith and shut up all his critics.

How wrong? What’s the logic to your conclusion? Let me guess - based on gossip columns that you hate so much? Do you see Barca flying to Manchester to do a deal? No!

Enough of the nonsense about how desperate Barca is! The desperation is firmly here on our side. At very least to an equal degree. Fixation on Barca’s financial situation is completely useless and a stupid tactics to push for deal closure.

If a deal is done, we will be paying more than allegedly agreed and not less.

Just watching the local Sports TV and there was a lot of time devoted to de Jong and his 'imminent transfer' to a PL side. So things seem to be moving along which suggests that Barca have found a 'sponsor' (as they do) to pay de Jong's outstanding wages. How that will appear in the books is anyone's guess, but hey, Barca never did give a ****.

You should have your own sports media outlet. lol

If it helps I'm going to Barcelona next week.

You know what they say, if Mohammed won't come to the mountain....

I'll be having strong words with the Barca president.
