Cba to recommend restaurants, just promise me you'll spend an afternoon in the George Payne.

I didn't know about it, had to look it up.

I'm looking at the video on the site and I may be a bit old for it!

EDIT: The food looks incredible though!

Yes mate definitely. Never been there before.
Get the tour bus around the city is good - it takes in the Sagrada Familia cathedral (don't visit if you haven't booked) plus all the touristy sites and is good value (but very hot on the top deck) - what do you like food wise - tapas is incredible as is meat and fish, let me know. Best DM me rather than clog up the thread

Spanish food GF might be good. What's Barcelona known for food wise? I don't want to be a heathen and talk burgers if you know what I mean.

Never had gazpacho, I'd quite like to try that bcos it'll be authentic.
Not keen on paella, but like other fish/prawn dishes.
Tortilla type stuff is cool.
And anything classed as traditional peasant food.

Are these two things connected?

Manchester United chief executive Richard Arnold and football director John Murtough are both in Barcelona to try to finalise a deal for 25-year-old Netherlands midfielder Frenkie de Jong. (Manchester Evening News)

Barcelona have agreed to meet Leeds United's asking price of £65m for Brazil winger Raphinha, 25, and the Spanish club's priority will now be to sell De Jong to Manchester United. (Mirror)

Plenty fish restaurants round the harbour/marina bit.

Then head out towards the beach and you're in an area called Barcelonetta. Loads of little side street bars, tapas etc.

Just try your luck.

Good tapas in La Boqueria market off Ramblas. The market itself worth a mooch round.

Barcelona is renowned for its Tapas and the best sit down for me is Gourmet Sensi https://www.sensi.es/gourmet/ - undoubtedly the best food in the city. If sit down isn't your thing then Placa Real off las Ramblas has plenty of take out tapa places, grab a table in the square then pick and mix from the various stands/stalls. Estrella Damm is the beer of choice. Carrer de Blai has good tapas also.
Fish or seafood paella is rich and delicious and top quality seafood is available everywhere as is quality gazpacho.
Rustic Catalan food is a must - pigs cheeks in red wine, suckling pig etc is everywhere and prices are reasonable.

Very positive display, high energy and good interplay. Yes, Liverpool weren't at full strength for most of the match but an encouraging sign was that we took our chances rather than wasting them. 4 - 0 against Liverpool is a good result at any point in the season.

Interesting development, been touted for a while but now agreement made (allegedly)

Fingers crossed Diego.

Only a few hours apart. Rather worried about the possible onset of dementia…:emoticon-0112-wonde

It didn’t take long did it? Barcelona as I and others suspected would happen have now asked Utd to pay most or all of the £17m debt owed to the player. That was so predictable. The player will now cost £82m. This is getting so surreal and if Utd pay this they are going to be judged quite rightly to be the biggest mugs in the world.
