Word from the Midlands is that Joleon Lescott is due for a medical at West Brom tomorrow. They've hijacked City's move.

It has to do with the fact that Lescott worked with new Baggies boss Alan Irvine @ Everton and Lescott also wants to go back to his black country roots. If he wants to play for them then so be it. We only want 100% commited players at the club. Move on down that list Brucie. The best available free agent now(in that position) has to be one Michael Turner.

Give up on this forum, can't even do one post without an argument or w4nkers trying to pick at your posts.

YES I am comparing him to Bullard in terms of value for money and his situation.

Dont worry about it or let a few clueless B'Stards get to you. I saw what you were driving at. In fact Lescott is not the player many think he is and that is from a Man City fan. Maybe we shall dodge a bullet if he goes to Wba now.

Alex (the one that used to be at Chelsea) is out of contract. Also, I believe Younes Kaboul is also a free agent now.

I'm not sure Michael Turner is the same player he was at City. In fact I'm 99% sure he's gone backwards. He's probably on a par with Bruce Jnr now, which isn't bad, but we need more solid cover than that.

No idea. But the Man City i was talking to the other day said that there were untold reasons why Lescott did not play much for the Blue Moon or get a new deal.

What happens to Lescott happens. Brucie will have a plan B and C for sure.

Troublemaker or crock? I'm sure he does, but there will be a reason they weren't plan A.

Kaboul has said he wants to go back to europe. A french team have been linked to him and i would suggest that Alex will be the same. Those 2 wont lower themselves to play for a PL club below the accepted top 7 imo.

Turner played wel for Norwich at the end. Noriwch simply left themselves with far too much to do. For sure he wont want anywhere near what Lesoctt would have got. Turner and Maguire(long term) would fit in better with a the team ethos.

Whilst on the face of it Lescott signing for us would be a "blow your socks off type" if what the Man City fan told me is true then are we paying alot for more trouble ? Trust in Steve Bruce.

We move on if it is to be the case (Michael Dawson maybe), I am sure Brucey did not put all his eggs in one basket.

He played 24 times for Man City last season and that was despite being out injured for almost all of September.

He also did discuss a new deal, but he was told he wouldn't be first choice, so wanted out.

That would be a very good Plan B and he would fit in very well with the team ethos.

Not by choice he didn't and the discussion about the new deal was to be told that he was not getting a new contract.
Man City wanted him out that badly they were not bothered about not getting anything back for him.
