Both played full games I think for their countries. So I guess Howe could take some comfort with that.

Schar would go straight in for me. Not sure about Lewis.

He put in at least 3 quality crosses that should have had someone on the end of it. Wilson.

More likely he'll play neither because he hasn't seen then train with the group and potential playing partners.

I don't expect too many changes fron the side that played Brighton in terms of personnel.

He has to see them playing a certain way, so he'll work with what he's got or had this week.

People might aswel forget any hopes they've got of Lascelles or ritchie losing there place.

I concur. The nee buzzword seems to be collaborative working.

Or in other words sack 2/5 team members and spread the 5 workers work between the remaining 3. Putting more on them, stress and then either don’t give them payrises or make them reapply for their own jobs with 33% extra workload.

    That’s what Happened to me.

Exactly and in teaching it's also "don't employ the experienced staff as you can get a trainee for half the price'

Yes. I have just taken on a new role which is basically two rolls that have been merged into one. For less money than the people who left the roles.

I know I didn’t have to take it on but it’s the only way to progress.

    It’s happening everywhere unfortunately.

They have but if you think Shaw is leaving Man U to come to us on loan, then I suggest you join Roland on the Sunshine Bus

At this stage I don't think any target from Man Utd is overly realistic as I can see a change of manager there before the window opens, which could throw everything being speculated on up into the air. Lingard may be a possibility only due to his contract running out, however if they were to employ Zidane and he started getting some game time and a new contract offer, would he really turn that down? I don't think he would.

It doesn't pay as well to sign on to your current club as it does a new one - especially one taken over by the richest owners in the world...

Just from the EPL, 28 or younger out of contract in the summer:
    ----------Rudiger, Christiensen, Tarkowski,
    Chambers, -----------------------------------Amartey,
    -------------------Lingaard, Pogba, Cantwell,
    ---------------------------Origi, Nketiah,

Not saying we'd get all of them but there are some pretty interesting names there. The one I wouldn't want would probably be Pogba but lets face it we'd all be at "defcan 1" if he signed.

3/4 of those would transform our squad - any of the back 3 there, Cantwell, Amartey and Origi say...

Van De Beek, Lingard and the out of favours would probably be available certainly on short term deals. As you say that would change with a change of manager. First team players like Shaw, yeah that isn't happening at all. Not any time really.

I think there are bargains to be had and with a World Cup on the horizon and a lot of players not playing we could bag some proper bargains.

Am I missing something about Schar here? I get he hasn't played and the defence is ****, but **** me, the way some go on here its as if he's Albert reborn and we're awaiting him to return from injury and that he's not as big a liability at the back as the rest.

Quite like the look of that Lamptey fella at Brighton….I’d be tempted to chuck a cheeky £25m on the table for him as a starter for ten!

We want to get the hell away from a back 5 as soon as humanly possible.
