That's right. Not sure if was actually playing for them at the same time he was writing the Holmes stories but he certainly did play (in goal) for them.
good god alive i never realised that! thankfully we have Moffat whose given it a great update so its nothing like the books but it is at the same time
Great programme..always watch it twice to get the most from it. Wish the series weren't so short. Benedict is playing a villain in the next Startrek film...British actors are always the villains aren't they?
Less is more sometimes Fran! i just hate the long gaps in between series but yes it is a great, no, superb show actually!
Don't forget Mark Gatiss's input as well. He wrote a lot of the League of Gentleman scripts and you can see some of the influences in Sherlock. He also plays Mycroft.
You two have tweaked my curiosity a tad so I might well take a look to see what I have been missing. Yes a great word for the early hours indeed, Fran.
still a long wait after that bloody cliffhanger! Ah yes Gatiss! 2 very clever men, both with Dr Who & Sherlock
Haven't scanned the whole thread, but here's a Tadanari Lee interview with Solent. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16751117.stm I wonder how long it'll take for him to lose the little oriental bow at the end. Perhaps the crowd can do it every time he scores. EDIT: Apologies. Just noticed the link on the previous page. Only took me an hour and three quarters. Pretty good, I thought.
It's been repeated on BBC4 already. They'll probably reshow it to wet the appetite before the next series.
