Outside the Holy Trinity of Seed, Lawrence and Curbs, it can be argued that Lee Bowyer is the best manager Charlton have ever had.

Certainly that he's one of the very best young managers, with the best potential to challenge JS, LL & AC as a Charlton Legend.

But the crooks and swindlers who have dragged CAFC down are probably going to rob fans of the chance of seeing how far Lee Bowyer could take us.
Well they've robbed us of almost everything else. Why stop now.

I do not disagree with your opening paragraph
BUT he needs to carry on the momentum for a few years more to compare with the names mentioned.

Reactions: lardiman
My one criticism is that he seems to be too defence minded.

A natural reaction, if not the right one.

Our attacking has been so impotent recently that Bowyer is probably afraid that if we throw more into attacking play Charlton will just be exposed at the back and begin getting thumped by 3 or 4 clear goals, rather than getting draws or just losing by the odd goal.
