I am a gambler, and I know a mug's bet when I see one. A vote for leave is not a gamble, it's a guaranteed loser. The economy will fall off a cliff if we walk away from our biggest trading partners, and not one credible economist has even tried to argue otherwise.

And, if we stay in, we get the rotating presidency next year. The appetite for a so called super state is declining all over the continent, this is a golden opportunity for the UK to engage with a process of constructive reform. Then again, when you look at our own leaders, perhaps not. No Barack Obamas on this side of the pond unfortunately, not even a Bill Clinton.

Definately remain.
There are lots of people I admire and respect that are advocating that we shouldn't leave and there are very few (if any) that I admire that want Brexit.
I believe that humanity is evolving and that the move towards globalization is inevitable in time. It makes no sense to me that we should be taking retreating back to our little island status, the days of empire are a long time past and we need to work with our neighbours to tackle world issues like ISIS and climate change etc.
I'm proud of my country, but I am also a proud citizen of Europe and indeed the World and we can only solve hatred and xenophobia by coming together.

The problem here is you are just repeating the slogan the remain side have been spouting. All of the economists that have backed remain failed to forecast the financial crisis and even in 2007 were still writing about and doing their guest slots about there never being another recession.

It would be easy to vote against Nigel, Boris and Gove because they're such comedy weasels. But don't do that. Vote against them because they are debasing our society with a campaign of fear-mongering, jingoism and lies.

They bang on about immigrants putting the squeeze on public services but it's not people fleeing war who have ****ed up education, housing, the job market and the NHS – it's underinvestment, reckless bankers and radical austerity.

They bang on about taking back control – as if a lower chamber endorsed by 24% of the electorate, an unelected upper chamber and a hereditary head of state add up to a beacon of democracy. And they bang on about rejecting experts because they know that if it comes down to evidence and argument rather than insecurity and bombast, they don't have a leg to stand on.

This whole toxic business was conceived as a manifesto ruse, a cynical sop to misguided anxieties by a prime minister who calls his opponents terrorist sympathisers and enemies of the state then bleats that others aren't playing friendly.

At a time when so many genuine and terrifying crises go shamefully unaddressed, this referendum is a trumped-up and divisive farrago that has already done great, perhaps lasting damage to our society.

Please don't make it any worse by actually putting a torch to one of our few remaining sources, however flawed, of international stability, openness and human rights.

Vote today and vote Remain.

If everything else was equal, that's the difference which should sway those still sitting on the fence. Like yourself, of all the friends and people I truly admire and respect, those are voting to remain within the European Union.I believe without exception too, so it possibly illustrates a fundamental part of a person's character, almost as much as anything else.

And I just voted for real too, about 15 minutes ago. :)

The EU will be crashed in the next 10 years anyway. How much longer will France be able to avoid going the way of Portugal, Italy, Ireland, Greece and Spain? And if France do go that way the whole Eurozone will collapse and the EU will be done for.

Do so many people not realise that France is borderline bankrupt and very very close to collapse? France is a much bigger beast than those others.

Oh Nigel Farage's billionaire mate? Of course he's going to back leave. I saw a couple of tweets last night from other economists who predicted the 07/08 financial crash saying we needed to remain in the EU. I'll try and dig out said tweets.

It won't happen. If we vote out then out the government will take us. All the countries would be trying it on if we got away with that. People think the EU will be falling over themselves to give us a good deal because of current trade between us, but if they did then other countries will be thinking I want a bit of that. If you look at the bigger picture and not just us you can see that it would be a mistake by the EU to allow other countries to think they can get just as good a deal if outside.

The USA could be considered to be financially collapsed a zillion times over. I don't believe people see a problem there. France is one of the fundamental economies. It's like a bank. It wouldn't be allowed to fail and it's not going to anyway.

No. The US, Germany and Britain has an economy that has the capability to grow their way out of their debts. France does not. They have a much different economy than ours dependent on EU grants to keep them anywhere near stable. There is a reason why France is in turmoil and a reason why Hollande the anti-austerity man who was elected on an anti-austerity pledge is having to ditch those plans.

France's GDP to debt ratio is higher than the UK and Germany and yes it is lower than the US but the US has the ability and capacity in their industries to maintain some growth.
