Presumably this wasn’t just a media stunt by Javid and it will now become standard practice. So far 400 jihadis have been allowed to return and only around 10% have been prosecuted which is insane.
Depends if they are Brits I suppose. She has or had dual nationality.

I'm more from the legal aspect, she was born in Tower Hamlets, so how can we strip her of citizenship, we are leaving her stateless.

I was going by what was said on here initially ie she has dual nationality and is also Bangladeshi

As I know it this can happen. Think I mentioned that some folk having nadra cards instead of visas to visit Pakistan have got into trouble under that law

So IF she has Bangladeshi nationality as well then legally it's legit, as far as I know.

“Perhaps he is one us after all, Margaret. We can pretend he’s just been in Tenerife recently.”

No, she has dual citizenship it seems.

You just worry about BGA mate.

she had the possibility of obtaining Bangladeshii nationality
that's good enough to deprive her of citizenship under the British Nationality Act 1981 if “the Secretary of State may by order deprive a person of a citizenship status if the Secretary of State is satisfied that deprivation is conducive to the public good”.

It was such a ridiculous comparison that it deserved some ridicule.
Who decides which 15yos know what they are doing and which don't?
from all accounts she was a very intelligent girl so why would you put her down by saying she didn't know what she was doing when she left the country. Do you think the pupils striking know what they are doing, if so what makes them different?

Seems to me they are trying to do it by bloodline, because i've seen nothing else that suggests she has dual nationality, i fooking hope the government can prove this bolloxs, otherwise we are going to be made look a right bunch of numpties in court.

I can't see this standing up in court. It sounds like the British Government are trying to pass her off on the Bangladeshi technicality of bloodline. So basically it means it's her place of birth, even though she wasn't born there, what sort of fooked up shhite is this. We are just passing the buck on Bangladesh on some technicality!
"So basically it means it's her place of birth" - I don't agree with this
she is a Bangladeshi citizen because her mother was born in Bangladesh

Yeah as the discussion has developed it's getting more confusing

I can see this happening with a bung to the Bangladeshi govt, courtesy of British tax payers

Well there are people applying for citizenship of Ireland and other country's right now based on bloodline to avoid brexit, I guess it can work both ways.
