I can't see this standing up in court. It sounds like the British Government are trying to pass her off on the Bangladeshi technicality of bloodline. I think this is a tactical error by the Government. She can now ask the courts to review the decision and she might win because the criteria are very strict. It would have been better to wait and see what happened next.

Well there are people applying for citizenship of Ireland and other country's right now based on bloodline to avoid brexit, I guess it can work both ways.
