DTLW TV with FLT and music from LTL
Crikey, you don't want it to actually be me doing the music!
Makes you want to puke doesn't.?
At the present rate that some populations wish to truncate various words of their given language, we'll all be down muh muh within a century, having shortened everything beyond the bare minimum.
Here's an example of a conversation in 100 years:
A] Muh [hi]
B] Muh, muh [Oh, it's you. Hi]
A] Muh muh, muh muh muh, muh muh muh.? [what are your thoughts on the consensus of opinion that the only meaningful philosophical problems are those which can be solved by logical analysis.?].
B] Muh muh, muh muh muh muh.? [WTF did you just say.?]
And with language, civilisation disappears into the muh.!![]()
We also said 'Far out man!' What !I'm sure we said 'Uni' in the sixties.

I go to Loughborough University and most people around the campus say it. If overused it can be annoying, but there's nothing wrong with shortening it in conversation every now and then.I go into a rage when anyone tells me they are "at Uni.". If that's the standard of their literacy then they should not be at a university or if they are it is probably a second or even a third rate one.

Acronyms have their place though Cardiff, where would we be if we had to refer to people from Portsmouth as caravan utilising nomadic travellers?Bit strong, think there is no harm in shortening things if people know what you mean. I don't tend to go in for "text speak" but will shorten the odd word if it makes sense.
Now acronyms, don't get me started on those. The seed of all evil in the world.
