Wow..that was painful to watch. Lloris was excellent, but that performance was toothless, and if the BBC stats are correct, we didn't even register an attempt on goal.
the stats can't be correct because we scored,in the first half

Lloris is sikkk! (i.e. class, quality, superb, amazing, best goalie of all time)

Well said. Hugo is the Boss alright, AVB is the clown, as I've been saying all along.
And all those who backed AVB over this, wrong, wrong, wrong![]()
Dear UEFA,
Can we have those four points you owe us for Christmas?
for me.Sadly mate, it was wrongly chalked off for offside, so the attempt wouldn't count.
It was poor from Spurs although we should have won as we should at WHL if the officials actually stopped wiping out perfectly good goals.
I think you have to take account the very poor pitch which made a passing game very difficult, with our players reluctant to make a pass over 3 yards. On the other hand although I thought we had the beating of this Lazio side their one strength was the way they closed us down all over the park. I noticed they used the long ball game to negate the poor surface and to be fair if they had a decent finisher could have taken the points.
Very disappointing game looked like two park sides playing.
Should have mentioned our goalkeeper, whoever he is, who had a good game.
Can't remember his name!
No don't tell me it will come back to me.![]()
Is the penny finally dropping!, you do not program players like robots to do exactly what you say, never mind football, sport does not work like that. You endeavour to get the best from players best attributes. Forcing players to play to what is essentially their weak points, is just ridiculous. I said this from day one that Bale would suffer from this way of playing and we would rarely see one of his 50yd charges we loved and lets be honest, thats when he's at his devastating best. Playing a highline compresses the play into a small area, he doesn't get the room. A compressed area requires consistant exceptional touch and passing accuracy, I could name on one hand with fingers to spare our players that fit that criteria. This system will not work with this set of players...but what do I know!
