More than fair point SC, unless he commits clangers, the two home games v Spam and Pool are good tests, and it gives everyone a chance in the stands to have a better look at him over 2 continuous matches. <ok>

stop now Notso. we've managed to keep GH10 in quarantine over this for a few days!! <laugh>

It was not an easy decision for AVB to make last Saturday. When the team did their final preparations for the game on the Friday, the work included Brad as keeper. AVB then told Parks he was going "to sleep on it" overnight, so his choice was made on the morning of the game and only a few hours before kick off.

I think the ommssion of both Tom Carroll and Yago Falque from last Sunday's under 21 game is significant, so I would expect to see both included tomorrow night.

I was wondering why we'd only scored 4... <whistle>

Maybe Dempsey and Sigurdsson might be given a chance in slightly different circumstances? Might be interesting to see how the pair of them and Falque operate behind Adebayor, instead of Defoe.

Provisional squad: Lloris, Cudicini, Naughton, Walker, Caulker, Gallas, Dawson, Vertonghen, Livermore, Huddlestone, Sigurdsson, Lennon, Bale, Mason, Dembele, Carroll, Townsend, Dempsey, Defoe, Adebayor.

I think this puts a stop to Brad being in goal.

But means he could be back in against west ham?

I'm back, just read that Brad might be off to Blackburn, am getting ready to do a jig of delight around the living room if this happens :)

Nothing against Brad, but at long last the ridiculous Lloris saga will be over.

Back to the game - I wanted us to take this one easy and leave a lot of our best players in London. We haven't so

Lloris, Naughton, Gallas, Dawson, Vertonghen, Huddlestone, Sandro Lennon, Bale, Dempsey, Adebayor.

Anyone else see this, picture second from bottom looks like Dembele closest to the nearest blue cone. Thats an actual picture of Dembele training with the ball, unless my eyes are deceived by pure hope! Lets hope we see him for a part of tomorrow's game ahead of a full return against WHU. Unless I've cocked up here and thats not Dembele. But I'm fairly certain it is, right hair, build and boots.

If we can get him back and keep him fit than I don't doubt that we will see better results in the coming weeks. Excellent news.

EDIT: just realised that people have posted provisional match squads with Dembele in them already in the thread. But I like to see these things to believe them :)

HI Hudd, I think AVB has said Dembele won't play today. Not sure why we bothered putting him on the plane if so, but anyway as he's long as he's ready for West ham.

regardless of whether he plays tonight or not Huddlefro, it's nice to see him out there kicking a ball about, showing signs that he's almost ready for his return. I think nearly every spurs fan would concur that he's been a brilliant signing, made such an impact and has proven how valuable he is already.

its a massive relief to know he's almost fit. phew!

I don't see why you'd fly him out to Italy when he's on the verge of coming back from an injury and then not play him though. Surely its just one extra complication. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get 10 or 15 mins at the end just to get him up to speed for West Ham.
